I waited in the car as Asher ran into our local grocery store. I had no idea what he had planned which excited me but also terrified me. I know he would never hurt me but apart of me deep down feared that he would. 'Our mate would never' my wolf growled inside of my making me feel uncomfortable.

I watched out the window as Asher returned, he put the bags in the trunk. He gave me a gentle smile as he started the vehicle and sped off. The ride was quiet, he never told me where we were going. I watched as the town and then the trees sped by.

"Were here." he finally said which startled me a bit.

"Were back at your house." I whispered as the big mansion like house came into view. "I thought you wanted to go out to eat?" I was confused. I know he said he wanted to go on a picnic, but I thought that meant at a park or something.

"I think youll like this better." he gave me a pearly white smile as he made his way to the back of the car. I followed him out of the car, and made my way towards the trunk to help him. "I got all this." He waved me away like the inconvenience that I am. I shoved my depressing feelings down so that I wouldnt ruin our moment.

He began walking ahead of me, both his hands were full with the bags he had gotten. The mystery items were inside, curiosity was starting to eat me up. What did he get? And where was it that we were going? I kept up to his pace as not to fall behind. He kept glancing back at me as he led us onto a path towards to forest.

The path was simple yet beautiful. Trees encased each side, lines of fairy lights hung from some of the trees. Moss was on the edge of the entire path, as if it was purposely put there. The path was a soft dirt, that left a small dust cloud with each passing step. It seemed as if we were walking forever. The silence was comforting, the sound of nature wrapped around us.

"Alright, we are almost there Sarah." i jumped at the suddenness of his voice. He let out a chuckle. His smile was soft and genuine. He quickly took a right turn. I look at the fork in the path, wondering what the other path lead too. I didnt know what this path that we were currently on lead too either. I was on an adventure with Asher Eros of all people. It was something that I wouldnt even dream about. If you had told me this is what I would be doing on this day, 3 months ago, I would have laughed in your face. But here I was.

"And were here!" Asher put the bag of stuff down. I stopped in my tracks, slightly terrified and slightly excited. I put my brave face on and peeked past Asher.

The area was gorgeous. There was a flower garden to the left, with many different kinds of colors and flowers. A fish pond was to the right. From what I could tell the path continued on in multiple directions. Asher took a blanket out of one of the bags an laid it out onto a small clearing by the pond. The fish bobbed up for a bite of something then disappeared to the bottom.

"So, what do you think?" Asher questioned as he pulled food and drinks out of the bags. He had fruits and vegetables, Meat and cheese trays, bread and condiments for sandwiches. "Im still learning what you like so I thought I couldnt go wrong with sandwiches." he gave me an awkward smile as I stood there in silence. It was the kindest thing anyone has ever done to me. In fact after mom left, it was the only nice thing to happen to e.

"Its nice." I whispered. My emotions started to betray me. Overwhelmed with the kindness I never knew I needed. Pretty much all of my life ive been called down to the lowest of low and beaten to nearly death almost every single day. The feeling of someone being kind to me was almost too much to handle.

"Hey! If you dont like Im sorry, we can do something else. Anything.. Just please dont cry my darling." He rushed over to my side and pulled me tightly into his arms. It made me feel safe, like I belonged. This was where I was supposed to be this whole time. I wished I had looked at him sooner, I wish I had found him years ago.

"No, its not that." I sniffled. I would assume that there wasnt a single person on this planet that thought that snots were attractive. This was terribly embarrassing of me to do.

"Then what is it my darling?" He was staring me in the eyes. I could get lost in them forever. His usually shaved face had some stubble coming in. I do believe people call that the 5 o'clock shadow. It made him look even better than before.  I wanted to snuggle my head into his neck. His scent was intoxicating and make me a bit dizzy. My wolf wanted every piece of him. "Sarah?" He growled, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Oh.. Um its just Im not used to such kind things." I whispered. I felt my cheeks get warm. As I tried to look away I felt his hand under my chin. Before I could say another word his lips came down on mine. Every inch of my body started to tingle with anticipation. My wolf howled happily inside me. I accepted his kiss by kissing him back. He growled against my lips. He pulled away before the kiss was able to deepen. My wolf let out a whine that I could not control. She was fronting more than I wanted her too.

"Sarah" He kissed my forehead. I kept my eyes closed not wanting to look at him. "If I had not have pulled away, I wouldnt have been able to stop myself. Im having a hard time holding my wolf back, Sarah." he let out a sigh, his lips went back to resting a kiss on my forehead. "You are everything I ever wanted." his lips moved against my skin in a whisper. I leaned into his touch.

"I wished I met you sooner." his lips left my forehead and those gorgeous eyes stared into mine. He leaned down and gave me a gentle kiss on my lips. It was a feeling I dont think I would ever get used too. Suddenly his stomach let out a very loud growl. His cheeks started to turn a lovely pink. "Lets eat." I giggled.

Today was going to be one of the best days of my life so far.
