The picnic was everything I never had. It wasnt a fancy mouthwatering 5 star restaurant, but I didnt need that. Asher was amazing. I didnt talk much because I didnt need too. He would say the silliest things, or tell me about himself. He said I didnt need to open up just yet, he was more than excited spending the rest of his life getting to know me. I slowly ate my fruits and sandwich.

"And thats how I got this scar on the back of my ear." He laughed. His smile was contagious, it made me smile with him. His laugh was music to my ears. This was truly one of the happiest moments of my life.

"Thank you for today, Asher." He squeezed my hand. I never even noticed that he had grabbed it. Everything about him felt so natural. It was absolutely terrifying. A part of me wanted to hide in my room and never see him again. The other part of me knew this is where I was meant to be, he wouldnt hurt me ever.

"Whatever makes you happy my Darling." His pearly whites flashed in the sun. His eyes twinkled which made my heart flutter.

Suddenly my stomach started to churn, something felt wrong. How typical of that to happen when everything was going so good. I took my eyes off Asher, and looked towards the path that was in the opposite direction that we came from. A man stood there smirking at me, his hair was gray. He wore black sunglasses and all his clothes were black. His hands remained in his pocket.

"Asher, do people often walk these paths?" I whispered. His body was tense and his hand was squeezing mine. I could tell that the answer was no by his body language. I felt an urge of panic course through me.

'Ill protect you, dont worry' his voice echoed in my mind. My wolf began to get restless, as if he was pacing inside of me. My heart started pounding in my ears as I watched Asher stand, makin sure he was his full height.

"May I help you sir?" Asher growled, his alpha aura appearing in the air around us. My whole body was tensed as I felt this strangers eyes on me. My wolf inside of me started to growl, I had to force her back down before she came barreling out. Every part of my existence wanted to run and hide from this man. Go back to the comfort of Ashers home and hide under the blanket.

"You have something that belongs to my family." the mans voice was like venom that wrapped around my throat. Its familiarity of it made a gasp leave my mouth. I knew him from somewhere, somewhere deep from my mind this man was there. I instinctively took a step back, ready to run if needed.

"Which is what exactly? Can this not be settled with my father, the alpha of the land your on?" Asher was not happy. His hand was squeezing mine so tight that it almost hurt.

"No, its right here Asher." the man gave us a devilish grin as he took his glasses off and put them in his pocket of his trench coat. His eyes never once left mine. His eyes I knew from somewhere. I couldnt quite place it. "Sarah, darling its been quite awhile hasnt it?" it was like Asher wasnt with us anymore. He was here for me. My heart race accelerated even more. I know you, but where.

"Who are you?" I half yelled, my voice trying to find itself. The lump in my throat blocking my ability to talk properly.

"Aw come Sarah, no one needs to get hurt. Besides is that how you treat your own grandfather?" his evil smirk was back on his face. My heart sank to my stomach. The world felt heavy at the mention of my grandfather here. This man was the very definition of evil. My father had moved here away from him, moved his family here to be safe. Or so what he always said.

"No." I whispered. The tears from fear threatening to escape from my eyes. He would kill asher and cause a war and not give  a fuck. "Ill go with you, just leave Asher alone." I yelled as I went to walk towards the man that claims to be grandfather.
