My body hurt from the wolfbane they injected into me, but it wasnt going to hurt nearly as much as it was going to for Sarahs kidnappers. I shouldnt have let him take her, but I knew immediately that I was outnumbered and the chances of her getting killed then and there were higher. I couldnt risk her life like that, even thought her life was already at risk. I could sense her distress and uneasiness mixed with my own. Each and every second was killing me as I laid in this bed.
After he had her in his arms, about 15 other wolves hopped out and attacked me. If my father and pack hadnt have gotten to me in time, then I would have been dead. I could sense that I was outnumbered I just didnt know by how much. There was no trace of Sarah though, they spent hours and hours searching. I needed to know that she was going to be ok.
"Asher are you listening?" my father cleared his throat, clearly not amused by me not listening. He wasnt the most patient of men but that came with being the Alpha of a pack.
"No." there was no point in lying to him. I honestly didnt even hear him come in, but that is what wolfsbane also does to you. It affects your wolf abilities. My wolf was angry and not on speaking terms with me currently.
"I said we will find her son. We might have a lead but you need to bare with us." I rolled my eyes, it was all empty promises. He didnt have a single idea where she was. No one did. She was gone and I was lucky if we found her alive.
"Did you look into her grandfather?" I stared into his eyes, hoping that there was at least something that we can make some progress with. The man claimed to be her grandfather, whether that was true or not it had to be of some use.
"We did." he spoke slowly which usually indicated that it wasnt good news. I waited with my hands clenched into fists. "He disappeared after his mate passed away unexpectantly. No one has seen or heard from him since.. We believe there is only 2 people who might know where or what happened and that would be his 2 sons."
"Sarahs father... We need to bring him in to question him. I want to do it." my teeth made a grinding noise as they gritted together. Every part of this made me uneasy and one of the worst parts of this was that I needed to keep my cool for sarahs sake.
"I dont think thats the best of ideas but if you insist I cannot stop you. He is downstairs in the livingroom waiting." my father began towards the door without another word. I tore the blanket off of me, the doctor had said I wasnt 100 percent but I disagreed. I was good enough to get my sarah home. My legs felt weak underneath my weight. 'Work with me you bastard so we can get her home.' I growled at my wolf. He rolled his eyes then disappeared but I could faintly feel his strength within me. I made my way down the stairs and to the living room. His reeked of Alcohol and I hated every single ounce of this man.
"You..." I growled as I made eye contact with him. Sarah looked nothing like him, the only resemblance was they both had black hair. His hair was more of a salt and pepper deal though, and he was balding in a few places that was more than likely of neglect of proper health.
"Alphas." He wobbly stood up and bowed his head to us. He was clearly drunk out of his mind. He plopped back down into the sofa, he was so drunk he could barely stand. I rolled my eyes. "What have yall done with my daughter?" he slurred. Like he actually cared about her at all, this man abused her for years. He was pathetic and if it were up to me I would rip him to shreds.
"Where is your father?" I ignored his question. His eyes widened in shock, he clearly wasnt expecting questions about his father.
"Why do you want to know about that man?" he whispered. Was that fear in his eyes?
