Louis's pov
i run to my mummy once i see her granny always drives me to mums hospital after im done with school because i like being with my mummy and i like talking with the patients and making them feel better!
mummy bends down and hugs me tightly "hey boo did you have a nice day at school?" she asks and i nod "mhm! i had lots of fun!" she smiles "i'm glad sweetheart go to the nurse room and do your homework and after you're done i'll take you to see some patients okay boo bear?" she asks and i nod walking to the staff room the nice nurses always have snacks to give me while i do my homework it's quite easy
i finish it in like 15 minutes and then walk to my mummy "i'm all finished can i pretty please go see the patients" she smiles softly
"there's a little boy who was just admitted my love wanna come say hi?" i nod excitedly she takes my hand and takes me to a room where a little boy is sat he's picking at his fingers a lady his beside him holding his hand and she's talking to him it seems and i look up at mum before we go in. "mummy can i please go grab my toys so we could play together?" she nods and i run back to grab my toys from my backpack and run back to mummy she tells me to wait and walks in then comes back out with the lady that was inside
"hi anne this is my son louis he volunteers here he likes talking to the patients making them feel a little more comfortable and at ease and he's around your harry's age can he maybe go inside and talk with him?" the woman smiles brightly and nods "of course!" she says and mum ushers me inside staying out with the lady
"hello im louis! what's your name!" the boy looks up at me his eyes are so beautiful. they're green and so beautiful!
"harry" he mumbles he looks quite upset "i'm 5! how old are you?" i ask and he looks back down at his fingers. " four" he mumbles yet again
"i got toys we could play with! i got all the superhero's i didn't know who you would prefer" i say laying out all my action figures he looks at them uninterested
"i like barbie's better" he says and i frown "but barbie's are for girls" he looks up at me slightly hurt "nuh uh i play with them and i'm a boy." he says and i nod hm. guess not.
"yes i must've thought wrong then i'll come back tomorrow with barbie's i promise" he frowns slightly and nods "you have nice eyes" he says and i smile. "thank you i like your green eyes more" he smiles and blushes slightly
"harry do you have friends?" harry nods "liam is my friend" he says
"i love liam hess suuuuper nice" harry says sweetly and i nod "do you?" he asks me
"i have erm..oli! i love oli he goes to school with me!" i smile and he smiles
"is your mummy the nurse?" he asks and i nod "she's the best mummy nurse in the world!" i say and he smiles "she makes me feel like i'm not gonna die" he says and i frown i know that the patients are not here because they're healthy but for some reason harry dying is making me extra sad
"well- maybe you're not! you take some medicine and we'll all be okay!" i say and he hugs me
"thank you." i hug him back "you're very welcome"
my mum walks in "cmon lou my shifts ended we have to go home" i frown
i kiss harry's head and walk to my mum on our way out of the hospital i speak up "mummy we need to get barbie dolls! harry said he liked them!" she smiles softly "sure my darling"
