Dani had to adjust her entire routine to avoid worrying the girls about her new way of eating. She wakes up an hour earlier to run on the treadmill before showering. Afterward, she prepares breakfast for the girls and still has plenty of time to pack Eunchae's lunch, including her daily "love letter," as Eunchae calls it.
The dietician recommended that Dani start fasting in the morning to lose weight. She also suggested eating an apple and drinking water before practice. Dani usually eats with the girls in the cafeteria for lunch, but since starting the diet, she excuses herself and eats only a sweet potato. Occasionally, she adds a piece of dried seaweed to her meal as a reward.
When the girls return home in the evening, she prepares dinner. Later, she accompanies Kazuha and Yun-Jin for another round of cardio as they insist on working out with her. Afterward, she drinks a protein shake and completes a few tasks on her computer. Finally, she goes to bed late, and after a couple of hours of sleep, she repeats the same routine.
The only thing she hates about this stupid diet is that she can't drink coffee. Apparently, it doesn't help metabolize well with the target amount of weight she needs to lose. It's fine. She's been meaning to quit anyway.

Dani is in her unofficial studio planning Kazuha and Chaewon's surprise birthday party. Seriously, HYBE should hit her up with her own studio.
"Hello, Mr. Nakamura, it's Dan-bi," Dani said, with a slight smile, speaking fluently in Japanese. "As you know, Kazuha's birthday is coming up, and I'm planning a surprise party for her. I'd love it if you and Auntie could come!"
She heard Mr. Nakamura sigh, "I'm not sure, Dani. We'd love to go to Korea to celebrate her birthday, but traveling to South Korea is so expensive nowadays, and with work..."
A lightbulb went on in her head. "How about I pay for your trip?" she asked, smiling. "I could also pay your salary if it would make you feel better."
Mr. Nakamura was stunned into silence. "I couldn't ask you to spend money on us, Dani. It wouldn't feel right."
"It's for Kazuha. Of course, I'll spend money for you to see her! You haven't seen each other in a year!" Dani said brightly.
"I don't know what to say," Mr. Nakamura said, awed. "I-"
"You don't need to say anything!" Dani interrupted. "All you need to do is show up for her."
"Thank you very much!" Mr. Nakamura said, his voice trembling.
"There's no need to thank me," Dani said. "I'll send you the details of your flight and where you'll be staying once I start working on it!"
They both said their goodbyes and hung up the phone.
As Dani leaned back in her chair and stretched, a smile lit up her face. "That felt good!" she exclaimed. She reached for her bag, pulled out her computer, and began searching for first-class flights from Japan to Korea and a good hotel for them to stay at for a couple of days.
After finishing her work, she leaned back in her chair and stretched, feeling tired. "I could really use a cup of coffee right now," she thought to herself with a chuckle. She booked the tickets and hotel room and then returned to her music.
...
"Ugh!" Dani exclaimed in frustration as she stared at her blank computer screen. "I've been staring at this dumb computer screen for an hour and have nothing!" She ran her hands through her hair with annoyance.
After she calmed down, she suddenly thought about her new "Best friend," Bang Gui Nam. She rolls her eyes at the thought of him. She has what he calls a check-in meeting with him tomorrow, and she was soooo excited.
