The light patter of Thing's fingers hitting the hardwood floor of my dorm cuts through my writing time. I sigh, turning in my chair to face the appendage.

Someone wants to see you. He taps out after climbing onto my bed.

"Who?" I question, "And why did they have to interrupt my writing time?"

Come with me Wednesday. It's important. Thing signs, You only have a minute of writing left. Wednesday we must go.

"Fine" I huff, not wanting to mess with his antics even though Viper had just stumbled upon the murder of her one and only friend. Stuff was going to get interesting. And bloody. A small smirk floats over my lips as I follow Thing to the front gates.

"Wednesday." My mothers voice sends a shiver down my spine, "I heard that you need some help."

"Hello mother." I pivot, turning to face her, sending Thing a death glare on the way, "What torture have you come to put me through? I can assure you that your spirits are not needed."

"I'm not here to talk to you about spirits. I'm here to help you recover some blood." She manages a ghost of a smile, "I know how much you love her, even if you refuse to admit it."

"How can you help me?"

"With this." Mother dangles a tattered notebook in front of me, "The records of everyone that Gwen went to school with. Their names, birthdays, parents, age, and... blood type."

"And?" I snatch the book from her hand, "What have you found?"

"Thirteen people. Eight males and five females."

"How many are available?" I flip trough the pages my gaze lingering on a certain name, "Bella Pondulus."

Mother sets her hand on my shoulder, taking a long glance at the page in front of me, "You know her?"

"She's the reason why Gwen is in the infirmary." My grip tightens on the book, "I am coming for her. She hurt my Gwen, I'll hurt her."

"Wednesday!" Enid hurries toward us, "The doctor wants to speak to you. And before you ask, all he said was get the person closest to Gwen."

My gaze flicks from Enid to my mother, "I'll be back, you know where my dorm is." I leave the two standing in front of the school and clamber up the stairs to the infirmary. The door closes behind me with a slam as I reach Gwen's room.

"I'm Dr. Dadrius," A man in white sticks out his arm, "You must be-?"

"Wednesday," I shake his hand, "Gwen's girlfriend." The word feels foreign on my tongue, butterflies fluttering throughout my stomach.

"Great. Do you know what happened to her?"

"She was attacked by a Hyde." I reach out and grab Gwen's hand with my own, tracing small circles on her palm.

The doctor's eyes widen in surprise, "As in Jekell and Hyde?"

"Exactly."

"Gwen needs at least two liters of blood to survive within the next three days. I don't think that she'll come back." Dadrius sends me a somber smile, "I suggest that you say your goodbyes now. There's a small chance that she can hear you." He leaves the room quietly, shutting the door with a click.

"Gwen?" I murmur, " S'il te plait, mon amour, reviens. N'ose pas me quitter... Pas maintenant." I crawl into the bed, laying next to her once more as tears prick the corners of my eyes, " Just wake up, mon amour, please wake up."
