Gwen POV (She's back!!)

It's late. Wednesday fell asleep on the infirmary bed after her mother came in to check on us with Enid.

God, Enid. She looked so hurt. I couldn't stand to see the way her eyes looked at me- with that hope, sadness, guilt. I almost broke.

My hand gently and slowly rubs up and down Wednesday's back, her head lightly resting on my upper chest.

I know, I know. I should be resting and getting my energy back but I just... can't. Not like this with thousands (more like three) tubes stuck in my arm and a large wrap around my stomach.

I look down at Wednesday then at her phone, somewhat sticking out of her pocket. I tentatively grab it, wincing as I move the phone above her head.

Typing in the numbers, I hold the phone to my ear.

"Hey mom, I need to tell you something."

Morticia POV

It's the morning after Gwen awoke and Wednesday practically locked the two of them in the infirmary room. If my little death cloud doesn't speak her feelings soon, the poor girl will loose hope. I saw how her eyes lit up as Wednesday stepped in, and the way my Wednesday rushed in... They're in love- but they don't realize that much yet.

I rap on the door, two swift knocks. Thing opens the door, signing, "W is asleep. G is asleep. G called mom last night. Not well."

I nod, my voice a soft whisper, "Thank you Thing. I am going to wake the two now, you may leave."

Thing turns one last time to the infirmary bed before scuttling out of the room. I walk over to the girls, Wednesday's head on Gwen's chest- Gwen's hand wrapped around Wednesday's back.

I let out a soft smile before gently placing a hand on Wednesday's shoulder, my fingers drumming on her in a soft, repetitive motion.

She shifts slightly, her head turning off of Gwen's chest and to the side of her body. Her eyes open halfway and a soft grumble escapes her lips, "M...Mother?" She huffs, "What- What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to say goodbye," I gently brush a few loose strands of Wednesday's hair off her cheek, "And to tell you that Gwen can come home with you when school ends in a month."

Her eyes light up, "Really? Gwen can stay with us?"

"Of course."

I turn to leave, my hand resting on the doorknob as Wednesday speaks once more, "Goodbye, mother."

"Goodbye, my little viper."
