Hyunjin woke up to the sound of his phone buzzing against Felix's nightstand.

While just barely opening his eyes, Hyunjin reached over and grabbed his phone, quietly answering the call so that he wouldn't wake Felix.

"Hello?" Hyunjin answered sleepily, closing his eyes.

"Woahh~ you sound tired! Were you sleeping?" Chan asked from the other end of the phone.

Hyunjin softly said, "Yeah, what do you need?"

Chan chuckled on the other end, "Oh, I was just wondering if you were busy."

"Yeah, sorry. I won't be free for a little while." Hyunjin replied calmly, praying that Chan would let him go back to bed.

"Wait, why are you being so quiet? You usually like yelling at me when I wake you up!" Chan loudly said through the phone.

"I'm at Felix's right now, I don't want to wake him."

"Wait, what? Like you slept over?" Chan asked, genuinely feeling confused.

Hyunjin hummed, "Yeah, the past two nights."

Chan laughed softly, "Well, that's unexpected... Just text me when you're free, I don't have anything to do today."

Hyunjin quickly said his goodbyes to the confused Chan, setting his phone down as he got comfortable once more.

However, Hyunjin did not close his eyes. As he faced the peacefully sleeping Felix, he couldn't bring himself to go back to sleep just yet.

Instead, he studied the boys' features, appreciating every little detail that he found.

He enjoyed looking at how Felix's faint freckles spread across his face and how innocent he could look while his cheeks were puffy.

"Are you going to spend all morning staring at me?" Felix suddenly whispered, scaring the living hell out of Hyunjin.

The taller boys face went red once he realized that he was caught, quickly trying to defend himself. "Sorry... I just love how your freckles look."

Felix opened his eyes gently, smiling at Hyunjin as he replied, "Well, thank you."

Hyunjin gave Felix a small smile before turning away to escape from the embarrassment.

"Uhm, we should probably get up now. It's almost 11:00." Hyunjin said, quickly changing the subject.

Felix hummed, stretching against his sheets before sitting up, only to immediately be confused by Hyunjin, who burst out in laughter.

"Oh -" Hyunjin started to say before interrupting himself by laughing, "Oh my god! Your hair!"

Hyunjin quickly covered his mouth to try and keep himself from laughing, however, ultimately failing as he watched Felix quickly jump up and rush over to his mirror.

"Ughh! This is going to take forever to fix!" Felix whined, trying to brush out his hair.

Hyunjin laughed slightly as he spoke, "I think that's a lost cause Felix."

"Don't make fun of me, you bully! Your hair looks just as dumb!" Felix yelled, enjoying the horrified look on Hyunjin's face as he also rushed over to the mirror.

"What the HELL?!" Hyunjin shrieked out, "What the hell happened last night?!"

Felix laughed, finding the situation hilarious. "It'll be okay, Hyunjin. Just take a shower or something, and then your hair will be fixed."

Hyunjin squinted at his reflection in the mirror, "Ehh... I don't care that much. Let's just grab some breakfast."

Felix nodded, pulling up his hood to hide his hair. "Uhm... you might not like this news, Hyunjin."

Hyunjin sighed, "Oh God, what now?"

Felix smiled sheepishly, "Well... I might have used the rest of the food in the house yesterday... So, we'll need to go out for breakfast."

Hyunjin pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration as he teasingly said, "Why the heck do I spend time with you?"

Felix smiled, "I'll grab you a hoodie!"

Hyunjin and Felix sat across from each other at a table in a small cafe near Felix's house.

"I'm so ready for food." Hyunjin said, trying to peer around the corner and see if their food was coming yet.

Felix smiled at Hyunjin, agreeing with him. He was about to say something else when someone across the room got his attention.

"Felix?"

Felix turned around to see who called his name, immediately turning pale once he realized who it was.

"Wooyoung! San! I didn't know you guys were going to be here!" Felix said, trying to sound happy as he looked over at Hyunjin, who seemed equally as shocked.

"Oh, who is this?" Wooyoung asked softly, clearly feeling very confused.

Felix smiled, "Ah, this is my friend, Hyunjin."

Wooyoung, Hyunjin, and San all quickly introduced themselves before Wooyoung turned back to Felix.

"Soooo, how did you guys become friends?" Wooyoung innocently asked, trying to make conversation.

Felix's smile faltered. And for a second there, he thought everything would uncrumble.

At least, that was until Hyunjin reached over and grabbed Felix's hand softly, giving the boy some secret encouragement.

"Uhm, well, he helped me when I was having a harder time with something." Felix quickly threw out, trying to make it as close to the truth as possible because he was absolutely horrible at lying.

Wooyoung nodded, "Ah, well, we should hang out again soon. We should probably get going, but it was nice seeing you!"

Felix nodded, feeling relieved as the pair walked away.

"Oh my god! That was so stressful!" Felix whisper yelled, turning his attention back onto Hyunjin.

The taller boy softly laughed before reaching over and ruffling Felix's hair underneath his hood. "You did good, though. I'm proud of you, Felix."

Felix's anxious feelings faded as he looked at the smiling Hyunjin in front of him.

As he looked over at his new friend, Felix knew that everything was going to be okay. In fact, he knew that things would eventually be better than okay.

"Hyunjin, can I tell you something a little... weird?" Felix suddenly asked.

Hyunjin smiled softly, "Well, of course."

Felix looked down at his hands as he spoke, "I think you might be my best friend."

"Can I tell you something weird too?" Hyunjin asked, causing Felix to look up.

"... Yes."

"I think you might be my best friend too."
