The gentle music coming from his alarm woke up Hyunjin the next morning.
Felix was still wrapped tightly in his arms, sleeping peacefully. Hyunjin carefully let go of the small boy, slowly making his way out of bed.
Glancing at the time, Hyunjin realized he still had about an hour before they needed to leave for school.
The tall boy sleepily made his way downstairs to get some water, only to be immediately stopped once he reached the bottom of the steps.
From the floor above him, Hyunjin could hear his mother's monotone voice getting closer.
"Hyunjin? I need to speak with you." She appeared at the top of the stairs, pausing before she walked down towards her son.
"Yes, mother?" Hyunjin replied, walking towards the kitchen to complete his original mission, his mother now tagging along.
She sighed softly, "Your school called yesterday. They said you didn't show up at all yesterday."
Hyunjin shrugged softly, grabbing a glass from the cabinet and walking over to fill it up with water. "So? When have you ever cared about me skipping school?"
"How about since our gardener told me she saw you cuddling with a boy yesterday?" Mrs. Hwang sternly replied, watching as Hyunjin made his way across the kitchen.
"Yeah, so what?" Hyunjin replied, clearly starting to feel annoyed.
Mrs. Hwang scoffed, "I mean, a boy? Really Hyunjin? What have I done wrong in this world to deserve this treatment!"
Hyunjin groaned softly, "God, it's too early to deal with your homophobic shit." Hyunjin turned to face his mother with a smirk on his face, walking backward out of the room as he spoke. "Now, if you don't mind, I'll be on my way. My angel is waiting for me upstairs."
The older women's eyes went wide as she quickly walked after the boy who was already almost up the stairs, "He's still here?!" She screeched out, the shock evident on her face.
Hyunjin smirked, "Sorry, I can't talk! I have to get ready for school! Don't want to miss anymore school!"
With a loud huff, Mrs. Hwang quickly stormed away, off to find her husband and inform him on the matter.
The soft smirk of victory across Hyunjin's face quickly vanished when he opened his bedroom door to see Felix examining his sketch book.
Felix looked over at Hyunjin with a smile, gesturing toward the sketch of himself that Hyunjin had drawn. "When did you draw this?"
Hyunjin flushed red in embarrassment, rushing over to close the notebook. "God, I'm so sorry! I know it seems creepy, but I swear it isn't like that!"
Felix's smile only grew bigger, "It's okay, Hyunjin. I thought it was kind of cute."
Hyunjin's eyes opened wide, "Really?"
Felix nodded his head, flipping open to the page again, tracing over the drawing with his finger. "This is really good, Hyunjin."
Hyunjin sat down beside Felix, watching intently as Felix flipped through a few more of his sketches.
Hyunjin hesitated for a moment, deciding whether it was a good idea to ask Felix what was on his mind. "Hey Lix," Hyunjin started to speak, deciding it was best to just be brave. "Could I maybe paint you sometime? Like live?"
Felix turned to face Hyunjin, a small smile on his face. "Sure, that sounds like fun."
Hyunjin let out a sigh, leaning forward to peck Felix's cheek. "Thank you, Felix. I can't wait." With that, Hyunjin stood up once more, heading off to get ready for school.
A soft blush spread across Felix's face, the smaller boy holding his hand against the spot Hyunjin kissed as he watched the boy walk away. "He acts like we're a couple..." Felix mumbled to himself.

Hyunjin's clothes were a little big for Felix, but it was really his only option.... Plus, he didn't really mind.
Unfortunately for Hyunjin, Felix did in fact need to take his own car to school, so they needed to part ways for a little while.
Felix was almost immediately spotted by Chan as he was walking in the school. "Felix!" The boy called out from across the parking lot, running over to meet him.
"Hey Channie, what's up?" Felix asked the older boy, walking beside him.
Chan shrugged, "Not much. Actually, why weren't you at school yesterday? Hyunjin wasn't here too."
Felix looked down at the ground as he replied, "Uh yeah, we decided to skip school yesterday."
Chan nodded his head, "Hmm, okay. Just don't make it a habit, okay?" Chan instructed the younger boy, reaching up and ruffling Felix's hair.
Felix nodded his head with a smile, "Walk with me to 1st hour?"
Chan rolled his eyes, "Obviously! Why in the world would I let you walk alone?"
Felix smiled, linking his arm with Chan's as they headed off.
"Hey, did you get new clothes?"
"Uhh..."

Hyunjin stood beside his car, watching carefully as Felix and Chan walked in the school, their arms linked together.
The taller boy huffed softly at the sight, suddenly getting that funny feeling in his stomach. He was jealous, and he knew it. But him and Felix weren't actually dating yet, so there wasn't anything he could do.
... Well, there was one thing he could do.

Hyunjin scanned through the hallways, a smile forming on his face once he saw Felix talking to Chan, Minho, and Seungmin by Felix's 1st class.
He walked over, carefully snaking his arm around Felix's waist, pulling him closer, out of Chan's grasp. "Hey guys, how's everyone doing?"
Minho eyed Hyunjin's arm around Felix's waist as he replied, "Uh, yeah, we're good. Just catching Felix up on everything he missed yesterday."
Hyunjin nodded his head, "Well, as much as I would love to stay and talk, I've got to get to class." Once again, Hyunjin quickly pecked Felix's cheek before walking away, leaving the group feeling quite shocked.
"Did," Chan started to say, pointing at Hyunjin, who was now walking away. "Did he just kiss you?"
Felix laughed nervously, "Uhm, yeah. It's just this joke between us."
From down the hallway, Hyunjin suddenly turned around. "Oh yeah! Felix!" Hyunjin called out, gaining the attention of several others in the hallway. "Make sure you stop by my house later; you left all your clothes from yesterday there!"
Felix's face flushed bright red, giving the older male a small nod.
God that was embarrassing...
