Who Knew?

Chapter Fourteen

"Pizza's here!" Chan called out from the other room, grabbing the attention of the friend group. They all immediately jumped up and followed Chan into the kitchen, each of them grabbing a few slices of pizza and breadsticks.

"Woahh~ Thanks for dinner, Chan!" Han loudly announced, sending a big smile towards the oldest.

Chan waved off the compliment as he spoke, "It's no problem! Everyone grab food and meet me in the living room, we should watch a movie!"

The other's nodded in agreement, following after Chan as they made themselves comfortable.

Once again, Hyunjin sat on the very end of the couch, and Felix sat right beside him. Chan sat on the other side of Felix, Jeongin, and Seungmin relaxed on the smaller couch, while Changbin, Minho, and Han sat on the floor, leaning against the couch.

Changbin made himself comfortable sitting in front of Felix, resting his head on the younger's knee.

Hyunjin noticed how the shortest member of the group leaned against Felix, but he didn't think much of it.

Chan flipped through the movies on Netflix, discussing their movie options with everyone. "How about a horror movie?" He asked innocently.

"Ohhh~ yeah!"

"NO"

"Don't even think about it."

"Definitely!"

Chan mentally face palmed as he grumbled, "This is going to take forever..."

After a few more minutes of debating, the group finally agreed on a movie, Chan quickly hitting the play button before anyone changed their minds.

Although Hyunjin and Felix were sitting next to each other, they weren't exactly cuddling or anything. Their thighs brushed against each other every few seconds, but nothing more.

Felix wanted to cuddle up to Hyunjin like they would usually do at his house, but this wasn't his house, and they weren't alone. He didn't know if Hyunjin would feel uncomfortable cuddling around the others, so he just left it as it was.

As the movie progressed, a sudden movement from beside him caught Hyunjin's attention. He watched in curiosity as Felix reached out in front of him and started playing with Changbin's hair, running his fingers through it.

Hyunjin frowned at the sight, immediately reaching over and pulling Felix's hands back away from Changbin's hair. Felix looked over at Hyunjin in confusion, only to be answered by Hyunjin pulling Felix closer into his side. He pulled Felix's legs to drape over his lap, wrapping his arm around Felix's shoulder and casually holding him.

Felix blushed at the sudden actions of his friend, trying to hide his smile as he made himself comfortable. I guess Hyunjin didn't mind cuddling after all...

"That movie was actually really good." Seungmin said happily as their movie came to an end.

The others in the group nodded in agreement, each of them stretching out their legs from sitting for too long.

Felix glanced up at Hyunjin with a small smile as he carefully pulled himself away from the taller.

Felix turned to the rest of the group as he chimed in, "So what are we going to do now?"

Chan's eyes lit up after a moment of thinking, "You all brought your swimsuits like I asked, right?"

Everyone in the group nodded, getting an idea of where Chan was going.

"Let's go out for a night swim in my pool!" Chan yelled out excitedly.

"It's already dark out, though. I don't think we'd be able to see?" Minho asked skeptically.

Chan shook his head, "I can turn on the lights out there! Go change and meet me out there!"

The group quickly scurried off, each boy going into different bathrooms and bedrooms, and waiting to change into their swimsuits.

Felix ran out into Chan's backyard, immediately being met with a beautiful sight.

A few of the boys were scattered around the pool, none of them getting in yet, so that they could jump in together.

Not only was Chan's back patio lit up with fairy lights, but the pool itself had colored lights inside the water.

Several brightly colored beach towels were scattered across lawn chairs, ready to be used. And the hot tub, which wasn't placed too far away from the pool, was already uncovered.

Felix smiled brightly, walking over to where Chan and Hyunjin were talking. 

"Chan, your backyard is amazing." Felix spoke happily, standing beside Hyunjin as he placed his hand on the boys bare shoulder.

Chan smiled back at Felix, sheepishly accepting the compliment. "Ah, thanks, Felix."

Felix nodded, watching as Chan's attention was turned to Changbin, who was yelling a few feet away. 

Felix turned to face Hyunjin, a determined look in his face. "I want you to know that me and you are going to race across this pool, and I am going to win."

Hyunjin raised an eyebrow, not bothering to hide the smile on his face as he replied, "Oh really?"

Felix nodded confidently, "Oh yeah. Be prepared to lose."

Hyunjin scoffed, "Well, if you're that confident, I say we make a bet on it."

Felix smiled, "And what are we betting?"

Hyunjin hummed in thought, thinking it over, "Whoever wins has to do whatever the other person wants for a whole day."

Felix smirked, "Sounds good to me." He started to say, "But just so you know, I used to be on the school's swim team."

Hyunjin's smile instantly fell a little as Felix started walking away, chasing after the boy as he whined, "What? That's not fair!"

"You made the bet!" Felix called back, not looking back at Hyunjin.
