Felix linked his arm in Hyunjin's, smiling like he didn't have a care in the world as he stepped off the ride.
Hyunjin couldn't help but stare at Felix, feeling quite confused on the boy's sudden change in action. It was literally just a few minutes ago that Felix was angry with him, what changed?
Feeling curious, Hyunjin waited until their friend group started walking off to the next ride, gently grabbing Felix's hand as he pulled them to the back of the pack.
Felix raised an eyebrow at Hyunjin, almost feeling amused with his actions. "Why are we slowing down?" Felix softly questioned, gesturing to their quickly moving group of friends.
Hyunjin opened his mouth to speak, hesitating before finally finding the right words. "I thought you were mad at me. Why are you acting so normal?"
A soft laugh escaped Felix's mouth before he responded, "I was, well, I am a bit upset." Hyunjin awkwardly looked down at the group, releasing Felix's hand. "However," Felix continued, "I realized that asking you to talk about it every five seconds wasn't going to get us anywhere. So, I figured, why not enjoy the day together until you are ready to talk?"
As he finished speaking, Felix carefully reached over and grabbing Hyunjin's hand again.
Hyunjin couldn't help but stare at Felix in awe for a second. "You know, you're really amazing, Felix."
Felix let out a small laugh, "Well thank you... Now, let's catch up with the group. We're quite a bit behind."
Hyunjin smiled, gripping Felix's hand tightly as they ran after their group.
Chan was the first to notice as he said, "Oh there you are! We wanted to try bumper cars, but we didn't know where you guys went."
Felix smiled sheepishly, "Oh, sorry about that..." He mumbled out, joining the line for bumper cars.
Seungmin smirked, "So, what did you guys do?"
Hyunjin rolled his eyes, quickly catching on to Seungmin's suggestive tone. "We were just talking, don't get any ideas."
Seungmin raised his hands in surrender as they all made their way to the different cars, preparing themselves.
The rest of the day went by quickly, going on as many rides as they could, playing all the games, and of course enjoying the greasy carnival food.
By the end of the day, most of the group was ready to call it a night. As all the members agreed on heading back to Chan's house so that they could all finally go home, Hyunjin had a different idea.
The taller boy quickly leaned over and whispered into Felix's ear, "I'm about to do something, just go with it please."
Felix looked over at the boy skeptically, but eventually nodded his head in agreement.
Holding Felix's hand, Hyunjin loudly spoke to the rest of the group. "Hey guy's, why don't you all head back first. Me and Felix want to go on a few more rides. We'll call a taxi back to your house to get our things!"
Chan nodded his head, "That's fine, just be quiet coming in, my sister will probably be sleeping."
Hyunjin smiled, "Okay, we'll see you guys later then." Felix nodded his head with a smile, allowing himself to be pulled away by Hyunjin.
Hyunjin glanced back at their group, making sure they were all actually leaving before pulling Felix into a long line of people waiting to go on a ride.
"The Ferris wheel? I thought you didn't want to go on this ride?" Felix asked, peering up at the large wheel.
Hyunjin smiled brightly before leaning closer to Felix. "Hmm, I might have lied to the others so that me and you could ride it alone..."
