Chapter 26

(Mikey's POV)

This feeling hurt more then all the other death's I've had to face. I held her close to me, feeling her last breath. The air grew colder, as everyone around started crying out loudly. But I couldn't cry. Snow fell down on us. I let go of her and stood up, noticing two other dead bodies on the ground, Izana being one of them.

Mikey: "Members of Toman and Tenjiku, everyone listen up! Our dispute ends here! An ambulance and the cops will arrive shortly! Before any of us get into trouble, get out of here as soon as possible! I'll be the only person who stays! Dismiss!" Everyone stood around still. "Stop stalling around!"

Muto: "Mikey! You get out of here too, we'll stay here.." I look back over at Mei, then at Kisaki.

Mikey: "I will never forgive you, Kisaki." He looked up at me with fear in his facial expression." I heard the sound of a motorcycle coming for us.

Hanma: "Kisaki!" I notice the motorcycle rush past me, grabbing Kisaki and speeding off.

Kenny: "Get on! We'll chase them down!"

Me: "Takemichi! I'll take care of Hina! I leave the rest to you!" Hina walks towards me, and we walk back over to Mei's body. "I'll be at the hospital soon, Mei.. Alright, let's go Hina."

Me, Mitsuya, Chifuyu, and Peh waited in the emergency room lobby. They all talked about memories with Mei, which lifted my spirit up a tiny bit, but I didn't talk about it with them.

Chifuyu: "Haha! I remember when she got on Baji about him forgetting his jacket, but she forgot her own!"

Mitsuya: "Or when she used to always just yell for no reason. I'd be quiet and then she'll go 'Ahhhhh!'"

Chifuyu: "She got the energy from her mom!"

Peh: "I remember when she interrogated me when she found out I was Pah's best friend."

Chifuyu: "She did the same thing to me with Baji!"

Mitsuya: "And with Hakkai... She was always so protective over us all." I finally decided to speak up.

Me: "I remember when she first met Emma, she was so kind to Emma and forced me and Baji to have american nicknames for her."

Chifuyu: "What were her and Baji's?"

Me: "Well, her's was grace, and Baji's was Edward."

Chifuyu: "Edward?"

Me: "Haha! Yeah, it didn't last long though.. I think my nickname was the only one that stuck."

Peh: "I was always curious why you were called Mikey."

Me: "Well there's the reason.. I swear, she had to been the coolest person I've ever met, and the strongest."

Chifuyu: "I'm surprised you don't say you're the strongest."

Me: "No, she was way stronger than me.. Whatever she wanted, she'd fight to get it. She endured so much pain and heartbreak and she still kept going on strong. I wish I was like that."

Kenny: "What are you guys gossiping about?" He walked and sat down with us.

Chifuyu: "Do you have any good memories with Mei?"

Kenny: "Oh, tons! I even remember when Mikey first admitted he liked her."

Me: "That's embarrassing.."

Kenny: "Yeahh, well. I'll tell you all it anyways. Back then, when me and Mikey got closer, we were just hanging out and he said to me 'Man, something about her is so beautiful, I think I like her.' And I was so shocked."
