Dear Mere

Chapter 8

It was the next day after school and I was at Dez's house,staying over.

"Soooo, how are you and lover boy doing"? At her question I started blushing.

"Look we didnt do anything okay all we did was watch a movie and eat some take- out." From my answer she didnt look like she was satisfied.

"Oh really", she was making her weird face again, and it didnt look like she was going to give up soon so I decided to tell her everything.

"But she stopped me with a series of awww's as soon as she heard we had cuddled up under the blanket and that I cried in his arms.

"So sweet but if he ever hurts you I will hurt him", she said it with a devilish look.

"I'm apparently meeting up with him on Saturday for some coffee tomorrow afternoon, what do you think I should wear?"

"Oooohhhh,I know I know after all i am the best at it." she squealed in delight, for the rest of the night we fought over what I should wear Tomorrow until I finally let her win and let her decide what I should wear.

As we went to sleep I couldnt stop thinking about tomorrow would it go right or would it get ruined, Ugh I would just have to wait and find out.

the next day

I was back at my house, this time with Dez. We were searching through the closet, well she was searching through the closet while I sat in front of my vanity.

"Found it !" Dez pulled out a gray muscle top,a nice floral scarf,faded out skinny jeans,my favorite beanie,and my white converses.Honestly I had to say it was a cute and free outfit.It said looking good but not trying to hard.

"Come on lets get your makeup and hair done"! she hurriedly put on my haira

and makeup, light pink blush,mascara( a good amount), link lipgloss that tasted like cupcakes,then let my hair fall down into its natural waves.

Ring Ring Ring

My phone started beeping signaling that I got a call.Looking at the caller ID I saw it was Jesse calling I quickly answered the phone.

"Hey Jesse,whats wrong?"

"Oh, nothing just called to say im on my way, and if you didnt mind today i thought about instead of car what about riding my old vespa"

"I'm all for it see you then" he then answered with an okay and i dropped the call.

"He's on his way "! I went to go change into my outfit and by the time I was done changing Dez called out that he was already here.I ran out of my room thinking that I was forgeting to put something on, I reached downstairs and saw him, he looked great with his curly brown hair he too had worn a beanie, he had on a crisp white shirt with a leather jacket and some skinny jeans.

"ready to go ?" He asked and just at that moment I rememberedwhat I forgot and it was to put on my beanie I was holding.

"ugh wait!" I quickly tried to put on my beanie but it kept on falling off, I could Hear Jesse chuckling silently.

"Here let me get that for you" he gently slid on my beanie for me and patted my head, at the gentle gesture I emediatly blushed.

"ready to go?"

"Yeah", we headed out and I sa his "old" vespa wich looked completley new abd awesome.As we both slid on he gave me a helmet to put on and told ne to hang on tight.Since it was my first ride on a scooter, I held on tight to him for two reasons. One, because I was scared to fall off and two because his warmth made me feel so safe.We finally reached the new cafe and sat down inside.We both ordered some coffe and cake, I was truly surprised at how good it all tasted but obviousley I was a little too exited.

"Is it that good" he asked in wonder because i had ordered chocolate cake and he cheescake.

"yeah it is, want a bite?" I emediatley blushed at my own words and before I could take it back Jesse said "sure" but when I tried to let him have his own bit he stopped me and said something that almost made my heart stop.

"Feed it to me" when I looked up at his face he was smiling but I could see his mischievous grin. I knew I was already blushing, so I took a nice scoop of my chocolate cake and held it out to him, he leaned in and gently took the bite.

"wow that was good!, here have a taste of mine" he took a nice scoop of his cheesecake and held it out to me, keeping on the same devilish grin he had on.

Still blushing I took the bite.

"Wow you two make such a sweet couple!"when we hadnt notice a waitress

came up to us, at her words I blushed even more.Before I could say anything back to her she had already walked away.

"Mere ready to go, I want to show you something". I looked out and noticed it was getting dark out, wow tine passed by fast with him I thought.

"yeah!" I said smiling. He paid the bill and we left, on the ride to some where I was totally unaware of where we were going, so I just held on to Jesse.When we finally made it to our mystery spot, Jesse took my hand and walked me over to a spot.

"Careful it gets kind of rocky over here" saying that he held on to my hand a little bit tighter.When we got out of the rocky area I looked ahead and saw a stunning view of our city.I knew New York was pretty at night but this gave it a whole new definition.I turned around to look at Jesse and saw that he was laying down a blanket, he motioned for me to come sit with him and I did.

"Jesse this place is beautiful,how did you find it "?

" Since my parents travel a lot I Went exploring one day and just found this place, its been my favorite spot ever since." As we he kept talking I noticed we were still holding hands.Blushing I looked for any excuse for him not to notice me blushing.But as soon as I turned away from him he noticed me.

"Mere whats wrong?"

"Nothing just wanna look at the-.." Before I could finish, when I tried to stand I had tripped and fell.But something broke my fall, I looked down and saw Jesse right below me.

"I'm so sorry!?" I quickly apologized and tried to get off but when I tried I was pulled back into his arms.

"Wait a minute!" Before I knew it Jesse was looking straight into my eyes and I was trying to look away.

"Look at me Mere" when he said that I could feel his warm hand on my cheek,and before I knew it he was leaning in and soon I could feel his warm lips on mine. His lips were sweet and the kiss felt very hot and passionate but there was something about it that was very gentle and made me feel safe,I think it lasted for a while then we finally pulled apart.I looked into his gentle eyes and we both got up, cuddling up in the blanket with my head on his shoulder and his chin on my head with his arm around my waist we quietly watched the night lights of New York city.
