CYNO POV:
Just another boring ass day at school. I assumed nothing had change, since crazy things don't really happen here.
Today was different— something was very different.
Nilou said, "I heard that there will be a new student coming today! How exciting!" I overheard this and got really confused. Neither teacher nor student gave word that there would be a new student coming today.
I heard someone knock on the door, while opening it slightly. Ms. Faruzan, the history teacher, let the person in. He had fennec fox ears with piercings on one of them, and green highlights in his hair which was tied back in a small ponytail.
"Hello! My name is Tighnari. I've taken an interest in taking care of plants and alike. If you have any questions or need help in that field, let me know! I hope we can get along just fine this year."
Everyone was whispering and gossiping as he was going to his seat. That got me annoyed... really annoyed.
"Yikes, what a nerd..." says one.
"Seems dorky enough for me to mess with.." says another. The noise of people's whispers trickle up my spine.
I can't believe people say this kinda crap. How irritating. Time to put matters into my own hands.
"Can everyone just SHUT UP!? He's clearly getting nervous and uncomfortable 'cause of your gossips. It's his first day here, so show some FRIGGIN respect, would you!?"
I said that loudly, and everyone shut their mouths. I was relieved. I look back at Tighnari to see if he was fine. I saw his big ears gradually turn red.
Is he.. embarrassed? Did he think I was mean...?
Archons, what am I thinking. This school is so weird; making me think crap I normally wouldn't. Yuck.
