CYNO POV:
"Tighnari, would you like to visit my house for a sleepover later?"
"S-sure.." Tighnari replied, with his cheeks flushed with red.
It was lunch break, and I was eating whatever with Tighnari when that thought came to mind. Wait.. did I just ask for him to sleepover at MY house?! We don't have extra beds though... maybe he'll bring a sleeping bag. Thank the archons!
If he didn't; Knowing my mom, she'd force us to sleep in the same bed. Let's try not to get into that situation.
Me and Tighnari were just chatting and chilling until we were interrupted by Nilou.
Nilou is a good person; I've known her since pre-school after all. We were super close in middle school. Funny how we haven't talked much this year since we branched out into different friend groups. I honestly thought she had forgotten about me, since I normally hang with Tighnari.
"Oh you guys are having a sleepover? Without me?! Cmonnn!" Nilou groaned. She loves being involved everything- and when I say everything, I mean everything. Nilou is always trying to be anywhere and everywhere, to the point she forgets the meaning of 'privacy'.
"...Fine, you can come as well."
Man. I wanted this to only be between me and Tighnari... It's always been very difficult for her to take 'no' as an answer. Seriously, when will she ever learn to respect people's personal space?!
"Yay! Thanks Cy!" Nilou said excitedly, and hugged me from behind.
"I know we're close, but let me breathe!"
-Archons, I just wanted alone time with Nari! You can be such a damn handful, Nilou.
I looked back at Tighnari, and his ears were basically at the back of his head and his tail was standing up straight. His ears and tail always confuse me when it comes to situations like this. I gotta learn how to read them...
"Are you jealous, Nari? You need a hug toooo?" Nilou said, smiling mischieviously while hugging him.
His facial expression screamed 'Don't touch me ugly rat. Let me be with Cyno for archon's sake.'
...Did she just call him Nari?! THAT'S MY NICKNAME FOR HIM! NO FAIR!
"No no, I'm fine. My ears and tail just do that randomly." Nari said, gently pushing her away from him.
I knew he was lying. The face said it all.
"Sleepover's today after school, ok?" I told them.
"Ok!" Nari and Nilou said in unison.
We were interrupted by the lunch bell, so we had to go to class. Finally! I can escape from Nilou's nonsense! What a friggin relief.
*At the end of the school day*
"Hey Nari, meet me at this address at 5 pm, no need to rush." I handed him a slip of paper with my address on it, and he reluctantly took it.
"Ok! I'll see you there!" Nari replied, waving at me as I left.
The minute I got home, I changed into more comfy clothes. The wait begins.
After some time, I was napping on the couch. The doorbell rang once I got up.
I answered the door; Nari came at 5 pm sharp. Wow, talk about being punctual. Nilou on the other hand did not arrive. Maybe she's busy doing other stuff.
At 5:48, Nilou finally arrived. What a bummer, I wanted her to be extra late so Nari and I would have more time to talk alone.
"Hey guys! Sorry to keep you all waiting!" She exclaimed with a chipper tone in her voice.
"Since we're all here... let's play truth or dare!" Nilou said excitedly, dragging me and Nari to my room.
"STOP DRAGGING US WE WERE BUSY HAVING ALONE TI-"
"Hehe! I can't hear you~" Nilou replied, not caring one bit.
We sat on the floor of my room and started to play.
(I'm just gonna refer to Nilou as "N" Tighnari as "T" cause I'm lazy.)
"Tighnari, truth or dare?"-N
"Truth"-T
"Do you have a crush on anyone?"-N
"N-nope! Not at all!"-T
Damn it. I thought he'd say it was me.
"Cyno, truth or dare?"-T
"Dare."
"I dare you to throw away the most precious card in your TCG deck."-T
You can't do this Nari! I friggin love that card! Cheater!
"F-fine.." I went to my Casket of Tomes and reluctantly got my most expensive, over powered card; the General Mahamatra card with a holographic finish. With tears in my eyes, threw it in the rubbish bin.
I love you Nari... AS A FRIEND ― but you just took it too far.
Eh... maybe I'll go get it from the bin later when they go to bed.
After an eternally long game of truth or dare, we were about to go to bed...
until my mom barged into my room.
"How about you two sleep in the same bed?" Mom asked calmingly, pointing at me and Nilou. "You two are good friends, and I didn't see her bring a sleeping bag! My poor angel Nilou can't simply sleep on the floor!" Mom added.
WHY WOULD I WANT TO SLEEP WITH SOMEONE LIKE HER?!
...To be honest, I never was comfortable with her in that way. Not one bit. This is... really akward.
"Ok!" Nilou said, hopping into my bed. Get off my friggin bed. I didn't even give you my consent to jump on it like a Sumerian monkey.
"Ok mom.."
I dreaded every single minute before going to bed. I love my mom, but I don't love Nilou in my bed. She went to bed right away, but I was restless for half the night.
Tighnari woke up in the middle of the night, hearing my distressed groans.
"Are you okay?"
"...No."
"Did you want to... sleep beside me instead," Nari said shyly. "I have an extra sleeping bag! I always come prepared."
"...Okay. Thank you, Tighnari."
"...Anything to make you more comfortable... Cyno."
I went to sleep soundly after hearing him say that...
Ew. I cannot believe I said that.
Fortunately after transferring myself onto the ground with Nari, Nilou did not feel or hear an inch. She was just sleeping soundly in bed. Like she should.
