Samar took a deep breath. His story begins here.

Mumbai was already dark when I arrived for Parson's success party. Well, I knew it was Darshan's film because he produced it. He told me about the film and when I heard it I told him it was going to be a huge blockbuster. He did not tell me which actress he roped in to do it. When he finally finalized the cast, I was already on duty in Manipur. Then I took leave for three days to celebrate Samaira's birthday. I touched down in Mumbai in the morning. I celebrated my daughter's birthday and then I met Ridant. He told me how his father was in blissful mode for the past two weeks. I found out through him that Parson gained wide acclaim and earned huge success at the box office. In the afternoon, Darshan told me about the good news and invited me to the party. I decided to hop in. So, that was why I was there.

I got to meet many film industry people, mostly Darshan's colleagues. I met a lot of actresses too but had not seen Ruhani when I arrived. The party went on, I was dancing my heart out with my buddy, took more drinks than I had before, enjoyed the food, got some new influential connections, all went well. All went well when finally an actress came to the party with last drops of tears in eyes and lips swollen.

“That is Ruhani Chopra, our heroine. The reason why Parson is well-accepted among the audience,” Darshan pointed her out to me when my brain was trying to figure how she ended up in a party with such a term. I bet she was already hungover when she arrived.

She greeted everybody—but not me. I was busy on the dance floor dancing to Mungda. There were quite a lot of people on it. Many of Darshan's friends were joining me and enjoying the night. He brought me a whisky sour and I lost myself in it. I was so happy. I never felt that much delight for a couple of years. Until it was ruined by a woman passing by and I accidentally spilled my drink on her dress.

“But I intentionally bumped myself to you,” Ruhani stared at Samar with a smirk on her lips. Everyone had wide eyes on her.

“I noticed his big nose when he was ruling the dance floor. I told Farhan how hot he would be and he agreed. He told me to try my luck. So, I did,” She added.

Mahika frowned. “Wait. You mean Farhan Irani? The art director?”

Ruhani nodded. The answer caused Mahika no surprise. She knew who Farhan Irani was. One of the salacious gay in the film industry. She understood why Ruhani took the risk to approach Samar first, because she did not want him to fall on Farhan's filthy hands.

“I never heard this side of the story. Why did you bump into him? What does his big nose have to do with anything?” Darshan asked.

“Big nose, big hose,” Ruhani said still with her wide smirk. Darshan rolled his eyes then stared at Mahika. They were sharing the same thought about it. Juicy. Meanwhile on the other hand, Samar was looking away to hide the red blush on his face. Mahika noticed that.

“Come on, guys, don't embarrass the man. Let him finish the story at least,” She said. Darshan and Ruhani said sorry and Samar continued the story. Of course after a lot of laughing from remembering the incident.

“Wait,” Darshan interrupted again. He got up from his seat which made others look at him. “I need to pee. You can continue without me.”

“What a valuable information, Darshan ji,” Ruhani looked back to Samar after Darshan disappeared among the trees. Samar hence continued.

I felt guilty at the moment, so I apologized. “Oh, I am so sorry, ma'am. I didn't see you.”

Being a gentleman myself, I took a handkerchief from my jacket and offered it to her. She did not accept it and instead only looked at me. Her eyes had some sort of magic on me at that point. Then I realized I can't fall into that. I started cleaning her dress as best as I could but the surroundings were too crowded and too dark. I barely could see anything.
