Yodha and Kavya let Kiaan and an ILF soldier go ahead of them. The man seemed worried as hell about his lady. Meanwhile, Yodha could not follow in his hasty footsteps due to a terrible pain in both of his legs. Kavya was with him along with another ILF soldier.
Yodha did not open his mouth after the battle finished. He was experiencing a traumatic shock. It was the first time in his entire life to actually kill a man with his own hands. He still could feel the blood of his opponent smearing on his face, causing its smell to disrupt his nostrils. The heartbeat rates had not decreased since then. His legs were trembling. It was horrible.
Kavya stared at Yodha with a lot of concerns. He looked messy. Her hair stood on an end seeing those bruises and scars all over his face. A few parts in his shirt and his pants were also torn out and showing open cuts.
"I think we should stitch it," She said, trying to talk to him. She was indicating an open cut near Yodha's left eye.
Yodha just nodded. He did not say a single word.
"Did it hurt?" She asked while brushing her finger to a cut in his arm. Yodha, as expected, was wincing slightly.
"Buck up. You fought well, though. You made it. I am proud."
Yodha turned to look at Kavya. They smiled at each other as they walked to a hut. They saw Kiaan speeding up his steps, making them follow him into it.
"Meri biwi kahan?"(*) Kiaan asked a few soldiers who were sitting in the living room. They stood up awkwardly while glancing at each other.
"The woman you brought in a while ago," He continued.
"Sir, this way," The soldiers led them to a room where they put Ishani. She was only with Yudhisthira in the room. As soon as they saw her, Kiaan immediately came up to her and pushed Yudhisthira backwards. No one was complaining about his behavior nor even Yudhisthira. They had anticipated it apparently.
"Ishani, can you hear me?" Kiaan asked Ishani who was half-opening her eyes. She looked up to him. A thin smile appeared on her lips.
Kiaan took a closer look at her face and her body, making sure there were no scratches on it. "Are you okay? Do they treat you well?"
Ishani put her hands on Kiaan's face. "You are alive."
"We give her the best treatment we can, sir. I make sure no one is mistreating her," Yudhisthira said.
"You have a lot to answer, young man," Kavya told him in a very flat tone. Let alone Yudhisthira, even Yodha was surprised to hear it.
But Yudhisthira, the subject, only smiled at her. "Sure. But let's get Yodha sir cleaned up, shall we?"
No matter how bad Kavya needed the answer to how dare Yudhisthira yelled at her earlier, she agreed to treat Yodha first. The three of them got out of the room and left Ishani with Kiaan. Yodha and Kavya followed Yudhisthira to a room next door.
Turned out someone was already in the room. A lady with white long hair stood at the corner of the room with her back on them. Yudhisthira led Yodha to a chair while he grabbed a full aid kit from the cupboard.
"You can use anything in it. If you need help, she can do it," Yudhisthira pointed at the lady in the corner.
Kavya stared at the lady. She did not even bother with their presence in the room. Just got busy with the stuff she was doing.
While Kavya was drowning in her thoughts, Yodha looked at the aid kit. "It ain't free too, right?"
"Ain't no free lunch in this world," Yudhisthira said, smiling. "But, don't worry. We will talk about it later."
