Darshan left his quartet gang with a big smirk on his lips. Even though he did not hear the story, he still remembered the day when Samar told him about it. Whenever the story flashed through his mind, he could never contain himself not to laugh. Always interesting to hear Samar re-telling it. What made him shocked was that it happened in his place. He did notice Samar's disappearance in the middle of the party. He searched for him but could not find him anywhere. He never thought he was at the toilet fucking the female lead. He was just grateful there was not any single media who found out about the story, though they found out about the affair two years later through a close source.
He sneaked behind the trees and did his business there. He could hear Mahika and Ruhani's laugh from afar. They must have started reaching the peak. He decided to do his business quickly and packed up. He did not want to miss it although he had heard it before.
He zipped up his trousers and turned to get back to his friends when someone put a cold thing on the backside of his head. The sound of a cocking gun made him gasp. He froze at his place, could not move an inch. His head started spinning. His vertigo always came at the wrong time and it cost him dearly.
“Mr. Advani, do not worry. I came to help. Just show me the way to your friends and we will be done.”
Darshan tensed up hearing the voice. It sounded so familiar. He really wanted to turn and made sure of his guessing but he turned it down. He did not want the person to make him a dead man just because he did a stupid move. So, he did what the man said. He walked slowly towards the riverbank where their tent was located.
Fifty meters to the area, he saw Samar standing in the dark. Samar saw him, he immediately approached him but then stopped when the stranger pointed the gun at him too. He pulled out his gun but it was too late. He was now coming face-to-face with a man and gun in his hand.
“Who are you?” Samar asked.
The stranger suddenly stood in attention. “Colonel, I am with the RAW. I was sent to extract you and your friends out from here.”
“I don't follow anyone's order here. It looks more like an abduction than a rescue. Were you sent to rescue me or kill me? And I'm a Major for Christ' sake, who the hell is promoting me to Colonel?” Samar lost his control. After the last attack by a group of strangers, he could not believe anyone else. He really thought no one was coming to help. Every time they met people, they just wanted them to be dead.
“Samar,” Darshan called out to him. “Just do what he says. He will definitely blow my head off if you shoot a bullet at him.”
“Put down the gun, sir. I assure you everything will be fine after this. Meals, shelter, blankets, medicines are already provided for you,” The stranger added.
Darshan could only wait for Samar to respond. The mouth of the gun on his head made his breathing harder than it used to. He closed his eyes and tried to reduce the racing heartbeat inside his chest. He really hoped Samar would use his 99,99 percent of his brain capacity to think over his fate. Despite knowing it was not easy for Samar, he hoped he was sane enough to make decisions. Luckily, he agreed.
Samar put down the gun and saved it back. He let the stranger have his trust. “I swear to God I will make those hands of yours not be able to point that gun again if you mess with me.”
Samar and Darshan walked back to the ladies with hands up in the air. The stranger followed after them, still pointing the gun. Samar had asked him to put it down but he instead shot a bullet randomly to warn them. They were like a fallen leaf in the autumn, letting the breeze take them elsewhere because they no longer had power over themselves. The ladies were still laughing together when they called them out.
