Daniell's POV

Today is my thirteenth birthday. I'm very happy that I get to spend it with charlie, but I wish I could be with my parents. It's almost been four weeks since I've seen them. We are headed to my Godmother's vacation house to hide out. She is very rich so it's a big house, so if someone blabs about what we did they won't guess that we are staying there.
We have been driving for at least two days, I'm not sure I've been to worried to notice. Right now we are in Georgia, we have drove through two states so far. We probably have at least three more days until we reach the Fairy we have to take to get to A mini island near California, which is were the vacation house is. I know we need to be looking for our parents and Cedric, but we need to hide from the police first.
I pulled over to a gas station to get some food, and also because Charlie kept whining about how she had to pee. I bought some water, chips, sandwiches, cupcakes, and a '13' candle. By the time I was done buying all of the stuff Charlie was already in the car. I got in and we drove off towards the nearest motel for the night.
"What did Ya get in the store?" Charlie questioned.
"Uh food, water, and candles".
"What kind of food" she pestered.
"Chips,sandwiches,and cupcakes".
"AWESOME!" She squealed.
She loves cupcakes, like she would get into a fistfight over a cupcake.
We got a motel room and ate our sandwiches then we put the '13' candle in a cupcake and Charlie of course was the one to light it. She's such a pyromaniac. I started to walk towards the flaming cupcake and I clapped my hands in excitement, but as I did that the flame disappeared as if it was never there.
"What happened?" I asked Charlie.
" I don't know, I guess there is a draft in the room".
"Yeah, ok relight it".
She relit the candle and I sat down and waited for her to sing. As she sang I started to snap along with it, but as I was doing that the flame disappeared again like it was never there.
"Uh Charlie it happened again".
"Oh" she said face palming herself "just don't move this time, you might be causing wind" she stated.
"Ok sure".
She relit the candle and sung even louder than before as I stayed still the whole time. Once the song was over I blew out the candle and ate my cupcake as Charlie grabbed herself one.
"This motel must be pretty drafty" Charlie finally spoke up breaking the silence.
"Yeah it must be" I said while giggling because she says drafee instead of drafty.
"I'm gonna go take a shower, you can get changed while I shower,if you want". She asked me.
"Yeah sure go ahead".
She went into the bathroom and I changed into my flash t-shirt with captain America shorts.
Charlie came out of the bathroom with iron man t-shirt with superman shorts on. We got into our beds and I was spinning my finger around in a circle pointing at the ceiling, when the fan started to move.
"Uh Charlie do you see that?"
"Yeah, is that you?"
"It can't be, I'm laying down".
"We need to figure this out".
