"Fuyumi, I promise I'll be over tonight for dinner." Todoroki holds his cell phone to his ear as he speaks with his sister. He's sitting in his car in the teachers lot of the university, watching many students and teachers enter and leave the various buildings scattering across campus.

"Just wanted to make sure, Sho." Todoroki's sister replies softly and Todoroki can hear the smile in her tone. "Natsuo is obviously coming, and momma will be here too." His heart fills with the knowledge of getting to see his mother tonight. They were coming together to celebrate his eldest brother's twenty-eighth birthday.

"Can't wait." Todoroki flicks his wrist to look at his watch, softly cursing at the time. "I gotta go, sis. I'll see you later." He grabs his jacket and briefcase from the passenger seat beside him.

"Okay. Love you!" Fuyumi cheerly says.

"Love you too." He hears the beep on the other end indicating that his sister hung up after he said those words. Locking his phone, he shoves it in his pants pocket before opening the door of his red Mercedes.

He's quick to pull on his jacket once the car door is shut behind him and quickly strides across campus to the Literature building. He promised himself he'd be the first to class so he could get a feel for the students before the semester even starts.

This is the second year Todoroki will be an adjunct professor at University Academia. The past two semesters went okay in Todoroki's opinion, though now that he knows what to expect from first years, he feels a bit more prepared this time around.

Once inside, Todoroki pulls out his phone again, skimming through emails from his other job: CEO of Endeavor Enterprises. He'd grudgingly inherited the business from his father, Enji, after his passing three years prior, his name being in his old man's will when they went through it. Todoroki tried handing it off to his brother or sister, but neither had any idea about running a large company, let alone business overall.

Endeavor Enterprises oversees several operations, their biggest being heating and air conditioning. The services and appliances associated with those is what started the uproar of the business. Once that was on an uphill movement, Enji had added more utilities to their company. From housing construction to energy and electricity that ran across cities, it was ironic that a vast majority of their servicing helped families and people, considering Enji didn't give a shit about anyone but himself.

Per his father's demands, Todoroki went to college majoring in business, while secretly getting a minor in English Lit. Since entering high school, Todoroki's father implanted in the youngest Todoroki's head that he would take over the company one day. Though there was nothing Todoroki wanted more than to not be handed such a responsibility, he followed his father's orders.

All four Todoroki children, as well as their mother, were abused by the awful man. Both verbally and physically. Todoroki's mother, Rei, was sent to a mental health institution after an incident with Shouto when he was nine. The oldest, Touya, ran away as soon as he was eighteen, leaving behind fifteen year-old Natsuo, fourteen year-old Fuyumi and 12 year-old Shouto at the time. Thirteen years later and none of them had seen him since, assuming he was more than likely dead.

Todoroki huffs at an email from his assistant, Momo Yaoyorozu, letting him know of a conference meeting he must call in for following his lecture. While maneuvering around students, he sends a quick replying letting her know he got the message and will be calling from his cell phone.

Just as he locks his phone again, he reaches his classroom, promptly walking in and dropping his stuff on the desk, grabbing a board marker from the small stand and writing out Intro to English Literature in big letters. Todoroki sighs, capping the marker and putting it back down. Before he can turn around, he hears a small voice, mumbling.
