Alhaitham POV

All of these girls surround me all of the time. It's so annoying. I don't even like girls so why was I cursed with being bombarded with them almost 24/7. The only time I find peace is at my dorm room. With him.

Earlier that Day - Lunch

God, I can't even get my food without being surrounded, where is that blonde at I need to see him.

Of course right as I step my foot into the cafeteria there is a loud screaming voice following me

I tried my best to ignore it and find what I was looking for

"Tighnari are you okay? these people are so inconsiderate do you need anything"

I hear a familiar voice which may lead me to him

Of course I was right, when was I ever wrong?

Kaveh.

Even though he seems to have a stuck-up personality around me and his other acquaintances but he seems to be the only one to not annoy me, which has been very confusing over these past few months.

I walk towards him from behind leaning lightly over his shoulder into his ear

"God, you guys are so romantic.. it kills me sometimes" I hear him say with an obvious jealous tone

He tends to get jealous over the topic of love a lot, he will throw every romance novel that I find out having away not even giving me the chance to read it. Don't even think about it like that tho. I read anything and everything of course I wouldn't pass a good story such as Romeo and Juliet, but what questions me is why Romeo did so much just for a girl?

"Kaveh."

I say pushing past my thoughts as I finally say something, spooking him in the process

He eyes darted towards me shining a nice ruby color with the fluffiest of lashes..

He was an odd one indeed.

Kaveh just seemed to be staring at me with a dumbfounded look in his face

"Did you clean up your pancake fiasco you managed to make this morning?"

I managed to snap him out of his odd trance as annoyance spread across his face

"Of course I did, I wasn't about to have you start something since I was planning to take a nap right as I got back to the dorm."

He's been sleeping a lot lately, I don't know what's been going on at night but I've been waking up to sounds of slight screaming as I hear panic in his voice, but as soon as I wake him up he seems like he's covered in sweat and fear on his face but as soon as he looks over and sees me he acts like nothing happened and smiles reassuring me that it was just a small silly nightmare and apologizes for waking me up at this hour.

"Good, I'm expecting you to make dinner then."

I say as I walked away, I don't know why but I find satisfaction when he gets slightly angry with me it brings a small smile to my face when he gets like that with me. just me.

- timeskip 2:32pm -

I'm sitting in the dorm waiting for him, he never seems to be late he usually gets home right after class ends at 2, I'd be lying if I said I didn't worry about him in the slightest. So I got up and went looking for him

I finally managed to find him at the library with some.. girl? It confused me to see him with her but she kept smiling at him, gross.

"You seem to have a great personality plus you do have very nice looks!"

Is what I hear the girl say which for some reason made a burning flame lit inside of me

she pissed me off.

He didn't seem to notice me as i leaned against the table behind them ready to split them apart

"It's fine I don't really wanna talk abo-"

"What's going on here."

I sternly said while glaring towards the direction of the girl, she seemed to had said something but I didn't care. Not at all. She didn't matter to me

"Kaveh, you were supposed to be home 45 minutes ago, why are you still here."

I completely ignored the girl, focusing only on Kaveh

"Oh uh, as Nilou said, I was helping her with her art project"

He added but honestly, I didn't give two shits

"Hurry up, I need you back at the dorm"

I quickly made up an excuse to get him away from her, I didn't like her

"It's ok Kaveh! Your roommate seems like he needs you so we can do this later!"

Annoying.

"Okay, I'll see you later then Nilou!!"

I hated it when I saw him smiling at her as we walked away

"What's going on between you and her."

She was weird, I didn't like how she was acting towards kaveh.

"Uh nothing? I don't know if you heard her since you were so focused on starting something up with me that we had an art project to work on, why would you think anything like that"

Good.

"Why are you into her or something"

He added as he rolled his eyes, even better.

"No."

I found myself quickly replying, why was I so tense about the situation?

My thoughts were instantly cut off as I heard Kaveh yawn, he needs to get some sleep

"You should take a nap once you get back, I'll take care of dinner."

I glanced at him but I noticed him looking at me so it startled me as I quickly looked away

"I thought during lunch you told me to cook?"

I don't care about what I said he needs to sleep I'll just order something

"Forget about it, sleep."

I say as I unlock the dorm

"Why did you want me at the dorm then if you don't need me to cook?"

God dont make me answer that I don't even know the answer

"Stop with all your questions, go sleep."

He shrugged as he plopped down on the couch not even bothering to go to his bedroom or even grabbing a blanket, he must've needed this rest.

I saw him drift off to sleep as he looked so peaceful but he looked cold so I just grabbed a blanket off of my bed and gently tossed it over him trying not to wake him up as I sit down next to him grabbing the book that I was in the middle of.

Around 30 minutes pass as he starts tossing and turning mumbling strange things

"why not me.."

"of course not me.."

"dont leave mom please.."

"im sorry its my fault da.."

he kept mumbling those things as I noticed he started shaking again so of course I had to wake him up which as he got up he had that same fear in his eyes, but it seemed worse
