"Hyung...I just want to say...i'm sorry."

"For what?"

"I..." Taehyun gulped. He himself doesn't know why he's apologizing.

"If you don't know, y--"

"I'm sorry for my sudden confession that day...I guess I should've kept it to myself."

Beomgyu frowned at that. Confessing to the person you like and getting rejected is better than keeping all your feelings to yourself. It hurts much more, and what Taehyun did was definitely right. And who knows, maybe they'll give you a chance, or like you too.

After getting rejected, you should really always respect what they think and say. Unless they tease you everyday about it...they should fuck off.

"No, it's fine. I really appreciate your feelings, but i'm not interested...I think it's better if you let the person you like know about your feelings...it's normal falling in love. Plus, it'll make you feel relieved, doesn't it?"

Taehyun pursed his lips. He didn't exactly know, because he was still disappointed on how he got rejected. He's focused on that feeling. "Maybe, I got something out of my mind?"

"Yes, that's it. The rejection will still flood your mind, but it'll hurt no matter what. It doesn't matter if I accept your confession, our love would be complicated, because I have no feelings for you at all. I'd have to pretend or force myself. If you find out, that will hurt even more. Forcing myself will also affect me."

Taehyun walked with the older in silence. It had been days since they had become friends, but now that he had apologized randomly and the conversation drifted into this, he's uncomfortable. But he wasn't lying.

And Taehyun kinda lied about not seducing him. He still had the same feelings, so maybe he'd try again to win his heart, but for now, he's just playing along as friends, acting like he's completely fine.

He's also counting on other people, maybe he'll develop feelings for another.

"You're right...I still have feelings...but it's true that we should stay as friends...right?"

Maybe for now? Or forever?

Beomgyu nodded, glancing at the familiar bar. Soulmates. "You could say that."

-

"So...what should I do?"

"Ooh, a friends to lovers trope?" Yeonjun teased, chuckling. Beomgyu just scoffed and rolled of the couch he was currently laying down on to sit on the ground with Soobin. "Hyung, come on."

"You should definitely just play along, Gyu. Maybe you're just denying your feelings, saying that you don't like him blah blah blah, or if you really don't like him, just go with the flow. Maybe you guys are really meant to be together and you'll develop feelings soon, and you guys are friends."

"What the hell does being friends with him have to do with this?"

"Well, your relationship will grow and grow, and you know, typical love stories, you fall in love with him cause he's umm, i don't know. But i'm sure of that since the system still says you're soulmates with him." Soobin replied, shrugging.

"Gyu, it's so obvious that you're so inexperienced." Yeonjun rolled his eyes.

"Being inexperienced doesn't mean I don't know about love."

"But still, you don't really watch romance dramas or read about them! You clearly don't know about shit."

"Hyung." Beomgyu sighed heavily. "I do. Just not much..."
