Huening Kai, a 20-year-old college student, was talking on the phone while carrying boxes to his new apartment.
He just got to see the inside today as it was a surprise from his mom and his older sister. They agreed on finding him a new place to move in and decided to design it all by themselves, Mrs Jung (Kai's mom) being the interior designer she is.
"How d'you like it?" Lea started the call waiting excitedly.
"It feels cozy, thank you so so much, I badly needed a nice place like this." her brother reassured her with this answer.
"I'm good at doing stuff like these, d'you like the inside? *cough*Mom made it, you better say something positive" she threatened in a joking way.
"Haha alright, but honestly I've never been so happy, we gotta celebrate someday-" Kai suddenly got interrupted.
"My boyfriend's calling, gotta go" she hurried.
"A date again?" he teased his sister.
"Again? What do you mean?" She imitated him.
"Nothing, go do your things." and with that, he hung up.
Kai arrived in front of the last big box he needed to carry when he heard the footsteps of two people climbing the stairs. The building he was in, was a rather small one with only 3 floors, each consisting of 2 apartments.
"Good afternoon Mr~ Do you want help with these?" Kai was taken aback when they arrived at the same floor as him. He was even more surprised when they began a conversation with him.
"Don't worry I'll be ok by myself." he smiled at their friendly gesture.
"You live there? We're neighbors! Hi boy-next-door, I'm Taehyun, he's Yeonjun" the shorter male introduced.
"Hi, good to know, I'm Kai, hope we get along. 'til next time!" he concluded, dropping off the last box in the living room while bidding them goodbye.
Kai was an introvert, meaning that he enjoys his alone-time like all the other introverts however when it comes to social situations, he's quite good at them thanks to his bubbly personality.
After a hot shower and a light dinner, he walked to the balkony located in his bedroom. The not-so-cold breeze was confortable enough for him to enjoy the present moment.
At half past 10pm, the curtains were drawn and Kai faced once again a new adventure in dreamland.
