Wednesday was never Kai's day, his class started earlier than usual -at 8am sharp- and he was always late because of traffic.
On top of that, the young man couldn't eat breakfast since he did no groceries yesterday.

Although Kai is registered into one of the top universities of the city which is praised for their excellent professors, the strict rules must be followed by everyone.
In his case, if one is late, one must go to detention until 6pm30 the same day.

He sighs at the thought of detention after class, having a busy day ahead of him.

As if it wasn't enough, he accidentally broke a precious vase which he didn't see because he was in a hurry. The small object made a deafening sound that didn't go unnoticed by his neighbors especially the neighbors below him.

Speaking of them, the student never saw them, which was absolutely normal since it was his first day in the building. He hopes that they were nice, afraid of being scolded on their first encounter.

It was now 7am58, being late was unavoidable.

Arrived in the university, he hurries by walking fast, shoving accidentally every person around him.

Unfortunately for Kai, he bumps brutally into his crush who is now on the floor, having a nose bleed because of him.

"Yah be careful dumbass! I'll be late because of you! My god, people these days-" his crush scolded, not noticing the drops of blood that are starting to fall.

"I can accompany you to the nurse room, I'm so sorry!" Kai panicked.

"No thanks! I'm not hurt!"

"Wait- you can't go like this, you're losing lots of blood!" he insisted.

"Get outta my way now, not your business!" his crush started to lose patience while standing up.

"Beomgyu wait-" he called.

"How d' you know my name, you a stalker?!" Beomgyu asked, shocked.

"No not at all! I-I saw your ID..." Kai stuttered. Truth is that he knew his name way before today as he was his crush. Nonetheless, Kai never expected their first encounter to be this way.

"Yeah yeah whatever, get lost!" were Beomgyu's last words before disappearing in the crowd.

In detention, Beomgyu seemed to be the center of attention as he was a model student who never had any problems.

Kai's heartbeats accelerated when he met eyes with the boy he fell in love with. Conversely, the latter only rolled his eyes, continuing his homework.

The way home was awkward, you could say.
Beomgyu and Kai were walking in the same direction.

"Yah if you wanna follow me, don't be so obvious at least." the model student eyed Kai.

"I'm sincerely sorry for this morning. And I'm not following you." the young man defended.

"I'll obviously believe your lies, once again. I bet we'll get off at the same station, right?" Beomgyu laughed.

Kai sighed, his crush will never believe him in whatever he says so better keep quiet.
As expected they got off at the same time but it seemed to trigger Beomgyu.

"Let me be clear Kai -and before you ask me a stupid question, I saw your student ID-, stop following me and go home!" his crush seemed pissed.

"I'm really not doing that! Maybe... We're, you know, neighbors?" Kai made a bold guess.

"What? I already know who my neighbor is, you wanna fool me?" for Beomgyu, it was impossible. If it was true, how come they never met before?

"I mean, we perhaps live in the same building.." he explained.

"It'll be so unfortunate."

They arrived in front of the same building, Kai was right, they were neighbors.
To his surprise, his crush lived right below him. Kai recalled the incident of this morning and sighed for the nth time today.

Beomgyu stopped on the 2nd floor but before he could enter, the other boy questioned him.

"You live alone?"

"Wow, that's so intruding. I'm not answering." Beomgyu answered.

"Stalker" Before closing the door he vented his anger by pronouncing this word and slammed the door shut.
