I was lying on the sofa when my phone beeped. I just received Jamie's message of happy birthday to me. Hindi siya nakapunta ngayon (as if alam kong birthday ko pala ngayon) kasi may practice siya para sa theatre niya na gaganapin two weeks from now. Kaya naman puspusan ang practice lalo na't lead role ang gagampanan niya.
It's kind of a long message actually and at the end of it was her promise to bring me to the spa with Rosetta which I gladly accepted. God, I miss Rosetta, too!
Alistair is in Manila for his work and told me that he'll give his gift personally once he visit Pampanga kahit na hindi naman kailangan.
Wait. I never heard Loki greeted me a happy birthday to me. Pinaalala niya lang na kaarawan ko ngayon but he never said the word itself.
He's with me the entire day and I'm kinda expecting that he's the first person to greet me but he didn't! I already received Jamie's and Al's message of greeting. Siya pa ang nagpaalala sakin lalo na't nakalimutan ko pero hindi niya pa rin ako binati! Not even once! Mabuti pa sila Jamie kahit na wala sila sa tabi ko ay hindi sila nakalimut na batiin ako.
The thought of him not greeting me is bothering me the whole day. I know he doesn't like greetings but can't he be considerate for once and be humble to greet me? Naisip man lang ba niya ang mararamdaman ko gayong siya ang inaasahan kong unang babati sakin? Iwinaksi ko na lamang iyon sa isipan nang maalala ko ang dinner namin kanina. But I had to admit, I really enjoyed our dinner.
I washed the make up off then I stripped and changed into my pajama.
I was about to turn my head when I heard footfalls coming. Someone hugged me from behind and I recognized his familiar scent. He snakes his arm around my waist and rests his head on my left shoulder. He probably smells my shampoo because of the closeness of distance between us.
"I want to be the first and last person to greet you. I'm here to give this and say my last greeting before the clock strikes twelve." he planted a kiss on my neck and finally said the most awaited words.
"Happy birthday, love." it sounded like a whisper to me since we're an inch closer to each other.
We stayed in our position, hugging each other. Suddenly, ang pagkainis na naramaman ko kanina ay kaagad ding napalitan ng saya. Who would have thought that the mere mention of words that you're wanting to hear for surely makes you happy. That all of negative thoughts just fade away?
Until he stepped on one side causing me to step too, and on the other side. In my mind, I'm listening to a song that's been playing repeatedly.
He finally let go of me at kapagkuwa'y may isinuot siya sa leeg ko. Figured it was a necklace that perfectly fits my neck. I caressed it until I recognized a familiar symbol engraved on the center of it. Lumapit ako sa salamin upang i-comfirm ang hula ko. Nakasunod pa rin siya sa likod ko.
Wow! It's a limited edition guitar pick necklace designed by Suga himself! How did he acquired it that quick gayong limited lang ang bilang ng items at sold out na agad ito unang araw matapos ang pre-order nito. I could say he have ways.
Loki's been acting clingy since the moment we went back from our dinner date turned out a celebration for my birthday. Then realizations came to me. The dress, the schedule being changed, officer M's disappearance in the scenario, the restaurant, everything seemed contrived.
They say celebrants should treat the other dahil daw sila ang may birthday. Libre ika nga nila. But in our case, he paid our dinner expenses. He also bought me a gift. Kasabwat niya pa si officer Mave. Greetings would be enough for me though and it still counts as an effort. But I didn't expect him to be this far. Lalo tuloy tumataas ang standards ko pagdating sa lalaki.

Muli kong inalala ang sinabi niya. He already greeted me? Bakit wala akong maalala?
"I was sure you didn't greet me yet." I said, perplexed.
He scrunched up his nose then scratched his cheek. I would be lying if I said he didn't looked cute doing that gesture. "Sorry about that. You were still sound asleep when I greeted you this morning." kaya pala parang may naramdaman akong huminga sa tenga ko.
Yeah. The usual Loki way. He would always come to my room every morning then whisper something to my ears. Walang palya 'yon. Nalaman ko 'yon nung minsan na nagpanggap akong tulog. Nasasanay na ang tainga ko to the point na hinahanap hanap ko na iyon paggising ko.

Since Jamie and Al weren't able to come to celebrate my birthday, I posted our pictures on Instagram for them to see. I also included the guitar pick necklace to tease Jamie. Alam kong matagal na niyang gustong bilhin 'yon.
Bago matulog, I checked my phone para tingnan kung may iba pang babati.
I even waited my dad's greeting. Yup, we have established better relationship as a father and child to each other.
And I got a message from Tita Frig. It goes like this:
-My youngest sent me your photo. Omo, you wore the dress I bought for you! Enjoy your day, princess. Happy birthday!
