"Come on nene." Lia continued begging. Tonight was the halloween party and Lia had begged for her best friend to come with her. Serenity gave in and was currently standing outside.
"It looks packed." Serenity fidgeted as she pulled the white coat closer to her body, warming up her cool skin.
"Come on girl, loosen up." Lia took her hand, leading her in. The strong smell of sweat and marijuana instantly hit as they walked in. Serenity looked around as Lia guided her through the large crowds.
Music thumped through the air, the beats resonating from the DJ booth set up in the center of the block party. A talented local DJ spun the latest hip-hop tracks, drawing the attention of the crowd. Teens dressed in creative costumes danced enthusiastically, their moves accentuated by the flickering lights from strobe and blacklight fixtures scattered throughout the area.
