" NENE "

"Okay Deja, no." Serenity laughed after putting on the outfit she had picked out for her. "What you mean no? Yess." Deja clapped excitedly looking at Serenity. She's been trying to convince Serenity to wear anything but Black.

"Too much pink?" Serenity asked and Deja shook her head.

"Now these." Deja handed her a pair of heels and she stared at them.

"Nope." Serenity said reaching for her sneakers. "Nene, no." Deja said as she began to tie her shoes.

"I can change the outfit." Serenity said and Deja held her hands up in defeat. "Fine wear those shoes that Kentrell got you." Deja teased making Serenity smile.

Serenity finished tying her sneakers, despite Deja's disapproving look. The two of them had been living together for years, and Deja had always been the fashion-forward one, trying to pull Serenity out of her basic, emo, tomboy wardrobe. Today was no different, she felt comfortable in her sneakers, even if the rest of the outfit was a bit more vibrant than she was used to. As she tied the last knot, Serenity looked up and saw Deja's questioning gaze.
