ZAYDEN VOLUNTEERED TO escort the intruder to the bathroom - okay maybe I should stop calling him that, it's kinda rude. Looking at their retrieving figures get smaller and smaller with every step they take forward, a tired sigh escapes my mouth before I begin munching my lunch food.

Realizing I'm left alone with my half eaten chicken sandwich, uneasiness settles in me.

I was never a fan of being alone in a crowded
place, but sometimes I no choice other than to welcome the loneliness with open arms and a big fat smile. great.

I have always craved to have a group of friends, who would forever stick around, have those long night sleepovers talking about the most attractive guy in school and the latest fashion designer clothes.

I sign softly and set my eyes on my left wrist checking the time on the vintage watch grandmother gave to me on my sixteenth birthday.

Ten minutes remaining before fourth class begins and I have chemistry which is definitely not my favourite. Frank hasn't showed up yet, guess I just have to get going by myself then.

With that conclusion in mind, I dust my hands making the bread crust fall aimlessly on top of the brown paper that wrapped my lunch minutes ago. I squeeze the paper till it's in a round ball and toss the faded blue bag on my right shoulder.

I start to head out of the cafeteria, throwing the paper in a trashcan along the way.

There are less people in the hallways making the spotless passage eerily quiet compared to the noise of chattering in the cafeteria. The steps I take is the only sound that is heard in the hallways, I pass a couple of students aimlessly walking or standing in the quiet hallway.

Finally reaching my locker, I enter my locker combination and it makes a click sound that resonates throughout the silent passage. Swinging it open, I scramble into the untidy locker searching for the sage green thick book and it eventually comes to view. Gotcha.

Contacting the rough cover of the chemistry textbook using both hands I lift it and journey it to my bag. It's one thick book, I'm pretty sure it can knock out a toddler.

I unzip my bag in order to stuff the green book inside my lump bag making it weigh an extra pound. I can practically hear my shoulders scream at me.

As I intend to shut my locker someone beats me to it and a loud bang fills the hallway, resulting me to yelp out loudly.

I place a hand on my chest in attempt to slow the frantic beats of my heart as I glance at the culprit who tired to cause me a heart attack.

Asher beams at me very brightly with his perfect white teeth displayed, a touch of gold, green and brown pair of gorgeous eyes stare at me shining with humor. I envy the dark perfectly brushed brows and long straight lashes that belong to him.

"Hey cupcake." His rich voice wakes me up from my horrified state. I release a shaky breath I didn't realized I'd been holding.

"Hello Asher." I greet back, smiling nervously at him.

"Wanna grab ice cream at our favorite polar after school?" He request, smiling at me with that charm smile of his. My cheeks flush as I realize it will only be the two of us, sort of a date.

Before I could respond to the request a voice I know way too well enquire for me, making me frown.

"Sorry bro, we have a science project to complete right Liana?" Zayden tepidly glance at me, but I don't miss the tightness in his tone.

He looks at me impatiently to reply, giving me a stern look to agree to his false proposal. I fidget at the change of the atmosphere.

"Yes I forgot about that, sorry Ash we can do it next time maybe." My statement makes Asher's smile to falter a little, disappointment showing in his eyes nevertheless he just suppress the expression and manages to smile, with that he waves goodbye and leaves.

Zayden ensure his out of sight before grabbing my arm, not too tight to form a bruise but tight enough to make my sensitive skin burn a bit. He looks pissed off glaring down on me.

"What is wrong with you?" I ask anger started to fume in me, I can figuratively feel my blood boil. He just rolls his eyes at me and lets go of my forearm.

"Why were you talking to him? He's a jerk you know that, were you really going to that stupid ice cream date with him?"

Before I can scream at him for ruining my ssssoo date, the bell signals it's fourth period. I walk away from him really enraged by his sudden behavior, how can he do that? I know his trying to look out for me, but I'm a grown woman now I can do whatever I want.

With thoughts occupying my mind and the anger blubbering, my eyes don't seem to do it's work hence I walk straight into someone, knocking them and I out.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there." I blurt out, not looking up to see who I bumped into, but the moment I look up.

A very infuriated Taylor send scorching death glower at me as if I just killed his dog and eat it for dinner 2 weeks straight.
