Always and Forever

5 - Coffee

Indiana was sitting at a small cafe near her house, editing a few of her YouTube videos on her laptop because she was super behind on her editing.

The bell to the door rang and in walked Pedro of all people. Indiana didn't even notice the bell ringing because she had her earbuds in and all of her focus was on her editing.

That was until she heard the barista call out an order.

"Iced quad espresso with extra ice and six shots for Pedro!"

Oblivious to hearing Pedro's name, Indiana was just confused about how someone could drink that much coffee. But when she looked up and saw Pedro taking the drink from the barista, her eyes went wide.

Indiana slouched down in her chair a bit, hoping he wouldn't notice her.

He spun around and started making his way out the door, but stopped when he saw Indiana. And instead of leaving the cafe, he walked over to her table.

"Ana?"

Indiana smiled and sat up in her seat, "Hi Pedro!" She said to him.

"Hey, funny seeing you here." He said as he smiled back at her.

"I was thinking the same thing." Indiana couldn't stop smiling. Something about Pedro just made her so happy.

Pedro stood in front of her smiling for a second, until she spoke again, "wanna sit?" She asked him.

Pedro nodded and sat down in the seat in front of her. "What're you doing?" He asked her, looking down at her laptop.

"Oh, I'm editing a few of my videos." She said, turning the laptop so he could see the screen.

He looked through them for a minute, smiling at the laptop, then he looked up at Indiana, "These are so cool. I knew you made videos, but I never actually watched them. They're really funny... you're really funny." He smiled

Indiana felt butterflies in her stomach, "thank you, Pedro." She smiled at him.

"Course." He smiled back.

Something about Pedro's smile made Indiana feel safe. Pedro's whole personality made her feel safe.

"So, I heard you got a role in The Last Of Us?" Pedro said to her.

"Yeah! I mean, it isn't a super big role. I'm just playing one of the runners. But I'm really excited." Indiana had to stop herself from ranting about how excited she was because it would probably freak Pedro out.

"You should be! Is this your first acting job?"

"No, I have acted in a few other projects."

"Oh, which ones? I think if I have seen them then I would have remembered you in them." He winked.

Indiana felt butterflies in her stomach. Was Pedro flirting with her?

"I was in The Fosters the TV show, and Good Trouble which is like a sequel to The Fosters. And I was in Teen Beach Movie one and two." She told him.

"Yeah, I haven't seen any of those."

Indiana looked at Pedro for a moment, switching between looking at his eyes and his lips, but then she got a confused look on her face.

"Wait, how did you know I got the part in The Last Of Us?" She asked him.

"I suggested you for the role. They were talking about how they needed a few more runners, and I thought of you because you have played the game and you know how they are." He explained to her.

Indiana's eyebrows raised, "really?"

Pedro nodded and Indiana went back to her editing.

As she was focused on her laptop, she didn't notice Pedro staring at her as he sipped his coffee. He was doing the same thing she was before, looking at her eyes, then her lips.

Pedro couldn't help but feel a little happy that he was sitting across from Indiana. He knew in his gut that it was bad, but he didn't care.

His feelings were stronger than his gut.
