Step two of my ultimate plan.
I drop my book bag, change into something that suggests I've been lying around for half an hour, and casually walk back downstairs. I even whistle to show emphasis.
Ruby's head turns and her eyebrows shoot up. "Oh, hey Sam! I didn't even realize you'd gotten back. I was almost at the conclusion that you stayed later than you were supposed to."
"Nope, I came home at 3:30 on the dot. Don't you worry." She asks me if I'm okay, if I need help with anything, blah blah blah.
I grab a snack, then head back upstairs.
On the way to my room I pass by the bathroom and see Lewis leaning over the toilet. Concerned, I rush over, thinking he threw up when I see him with a plunger in hand. "What are you doing?!" I ask. Then I see the mischievous look on his face and grin. He's plotting his next prank, of course.
