{Sam's POV}
I walk into my room and instantly hear footsteps behind me. I sigh and rub my face. God dammit.
"What's wrong Sam? Why are you acting so weird?" What the fuck?! Does he not remember what he just did?
"Do you not remember what the fuck just happened Cole?! Your eyes were gray so I was looking at them and you fucking pushed me away and yelled at me!" I say sternly with a hint of annoyance in my voice. Colby's face drops for a second,
"Oh shit... I- uh..." Colby stumbles on his words, looking down at the ground. I groan in annoyance and roll my eyes, turning my back towards him as I grab myself some new clothes since I'm sweaty.
"I was blacked out Sammy, thats why my eyes were gray. I wasn't in the right headspace I swear. I would never push you away like I probably did." Probably. I scoff to myself and head to the bathroom before Colby grabs my arm and looks at me dead in my eyes.
"I wouldn't hurt you intentionally Sammy. I swear on my life I wouldn't. I promise." I can tell Colby's being genuine. I can hear it in his soft, low tone and I can see it in his eyes. I sigh and shake my head, looking away.
"Sorry I yelled at you.." I mumble. Colby's grip on my arm softens.
"You didn't yell at me Sam and you had every right to be mad. I'm sorry that I yelled at you and shoved you ba- Sam. I wouldn't do that if I wasn't black out." Colby assures, turning me to face him. I take a deep breath and nod.
"Okay.... you can still sleep in my bed tonight.. if your still up for it." Colby kisses my forehead and lets go of my arms, letting me take my shower before joining me in bed once again.[That Night]
{Corey's POV}I smash the buttons on the controller as I play Rocket League, winning of course like usual. I bite my lip and score.
"YES!!" I cheer with concentration and aggression in my voice. Rocket League is the only thing that makes me aggressive. I will fully admit that.
I keep smashing buttons till someone else soccers. I huff in frustration, flipping off the TV though I'm still winning. Suddenly I hear footsteps down the stairs but I ignored them, focusing on my amazing game. I see a figure lean against the doorway, watching me play Rocket League. I score and win the match. I grin at my victory before looking at the figure at the doorway.
I see Griffin standing there, looking exhausted.
"Hey griff." I say. Griffin gives me a soft smile.
"Hey Corey. Win another match?" He asks with a tired voice. I don't think much of it since it is around 3 in the morning.
"Yeah. I'm just that good at Rocket League." I joke, earning a chuckle from Griffin. I look at Griffin for a couple seconds before patting the seat next to me, telling him to sit next to me and watch me kick some random guys ass in Rocket League. Griffin takes up on my offer and sits next to me, leaning backwards into the couch. I start a new match and start chatting with Griffin while playing.[3 Hours Later]
Griffin yawns next to me. He's been watching me for hours while talking to me. I finish yet again another match before looking at him.
"You can head to bed Griffin. I don't mind." I stare at the dark circles forming under Griffin's brown eyes. Griffin nods knowingly,
"I know. But we still gotta talk." Griffin replies, resting his head against his hand. I furrow my brows and turn my body towards him a bit.
"What do you want to talk about?" Griffin closes his eyes for a second and sighs, sitting up a bit.
"Aryia said you've probably suspected this but um... me and him are kinda..." Griffin trails off, not knowing how to phrase whatever he's trying to admit.
"Kinda what? Griffin whats going on between you two?" I ask worriedly. Griffin has distraught on his face which worries me. I don't want my friends to stress over telling me stuff. I care a lot about my friends.
"We're going out." Griffin spits out. Aren't him and Jake still together?
"Yes, me and Jake are still together. I just... I don't know how to break it off with Jake. I still love him but.."
"You love Aryia more." I finish the sentence for him, looking down.
"Yeah.." Griffin takes a deep breath before continuing as I sit back and listen.
"Jake's great but he's been so busy lately, we rarely hang out. I feel distance between us. Aryia on the other hand.. he's been hanging out with me nonstop and showing me a side of him I've never seen before. I just can't stop thinking about Aryia and I crave being with him all the time. I just.. I just don't know how to break up with Jake." I sit there zoned out for a second before I sigh,
"I understand Griffin. You need to break up with Jake but of course, now ain't the right time. I understand and I fully support you. But you need to make sure you end you and Jake before you take things really far with Aryia." I advise, looking Griffin dead in his eyes. Griffin smiles at me and nods. I give Griffin a half smile back,
"Don't worry Corey, I will." Griffin assures. I nod and look down at the controller in my hands.
"But that isn't all." Griffin says, moving to the edge of the couch in a similar position as me. I set the controller on the table and intertwined my fingers, looking at the black haired boy next to me,
"I'm all ears." I say calmly. Griffin smiles again but that smile fades as he looks down then looks back up at me as I wait patiently for him to tell me,
"Sam's out of the asylum." Griffin blurts out. My hands unlock together, drooping towards the floor. Sam's out? How did he get out? How does Griffin know?
"Is he safe?" I ask quickly.
"Is he okay? Did he get hurt at all? Where is he?" I ask more urgently. I hope Sam's okay. He's a reckless bastard, who knows what could happen to him. I know he can take care of himself but still.
"He's okay Corey. He has gotten hurt a couple times but Aryia was there to help him, don't worry. We have no clue where exactly he's been staying but we know he's staying with someone who is keeping him safe and sane." Griffin assures me, placing a hand on my shoulder. I sigh in relief, thank god.
"Who is he staying with? Is he staying with Alex or Reggie??"
"We don't know. It's probably someone strong enough to protect both themselves and Sam. Not that Sam needs protection-" Griffin jokes. I laugh softly,
"Yeah, you're right about that." Me and Griffin lock eyes and Griffin gives me a reassuring smile.
"Sam's with someone who knows what their doing. Sam's in good hands. And he visits here a lot so maybe you'll see him sometime." Griffin slips his hand down from my shoulder to his knee.
"Really?" Griffin nods in response. Why not Sam come over tomorrow night and we have some friendly fun? We all really need it.
"Sam should come over tomorrow night. We can drink, play rocket league, catch up with each other, eat dinner, it'll be our own little hang out, our own little break, just like the old days. We all really need it right now." I suggest. Griffin thinks for a second before grinning in amusement,
"Yeah, you're right. I'll tell Aryia in the morning. But right now, I need sleep before our little party." Griffin pats my back and gets up.
"Yeah. I don't want my ass kicked by Aryia for letting you stay up." Griffins laugh echos softly through the house.
"Night Corey!" Griffin softly yells right before he goes upstairs.
"Night Griff." I grab my controller and play another round yet again.{A/N: the beginning is kinda rushed but oh well🤷🏼♀️ 6fluid9 was rushing me so blame them}
