I'm not sure how much time has passed but it feels like years have passed, yet, time was at a standstill. Sitting in a dark room, I am lost in thought. So many questions I wanted to ask, no answers, just orders. Suddenly, the dark disappears as blue lights shine in the room mixing with the yellow walls. This creates a green room that reminds me of the meadows we used to visit. Soon I am at peace as my mind floods with happy thoughts of my family. Five minutes later, the metal door swings quickly open. Nurse Nicole entered my room and laid down a plate of food in front of me. She gave me a warm smile and returned one to her. Afterwards, she pets my head and I giggle.

"Breakfast time Cynthia." she spoke in a gentle tone.

"It's night time. Isn't it?" I replied.

"No." she responded. "It's daylight. Have breakfast."

I blinked at her in disbelief, however, she just left. Curious, I quickly ran towards the windows and removed the curtains to find bright sun rays. My eyes were irritated from the exposure. In a swift motion, I closed the curtains and rushed to the bathroom to raise my eyes. Shortly after, my belly started to grumble and roar. For breakfast today was cheese paste sandwich and cherry Kool aid. It only took one bite for everything to go south.

Suddenly, I started to choke as a rash hurriedly developed all over my body causing an irritating itch. My eyes are also itching and I fear it is beginning to swell. Then there was a loud beeping sound as the lights in my room were flashing red. Trying to breathe, I tried to walk hoping to find some help, however, my legs gave out. I had to crawl like a starving man towards the door. Rushing into my room was a paramedic team coming to rescue me. There was talking and movement as I felt air leaving my body. Soon after, I was knocked out.

The paramedics attend to Cynthia's allergies. Afterwards, they placed her on the bed and covered her. An hour later, the doctor walked in to check on Cynthia's condition. He brought a chair and sat next to Cynthia's bed. With his book in his hand, he continued to document his patient. Moments later, Cynthia woke up and sat up very quickly. Cynthia yawned and looked over at the doctor. Staring at him, Docker Sky stared back until he stood up from his chair. This made grab her pillow in a defensive manner. He sat back down and waited for Cynthia to lower her defenses, unfortunately to the doctor, Cynthia did not budge.

Cynthia "Who are you?"

Doctor Sky "I am doctor Sky. I got notified that you have an allergic reaction to your breakfast. Tell me, how long have you been allergic to cheese or cheese paste?"

Cynthia " No no. I love cheese paste and could easily eat cheese, however... food coloring."

Doctor Sky "Food coloring?" He wrote that information in his book. " How long have you been allergic to food coloring?"

Cynthia " Since I was five. I found out when my aunt added food coloring to a cake. My mom has the same allergic reactions."

Doctor Sky " Generation allergies. Five years only when the incident happened. Okay, how are you feeling?"

Cynthia "Like i died and cheated death. Honestly, I don't know how to feel right now. But my head just hurts."

Doctor Sky " Migraine?"

Cynthia "No. Normal headaches I guess."

Doctor Sky " Okay then. Just rest and your personal nurse will do the rest. Here, lollipop."

Cynthia took the lollipop and smiled. After the doctor left, the nurse entered the room with some ginger tea and a slice of chocolate cake. When the nurse rested the tray on the counter, she sat on the bed next to her and held Cynthia's hand gently.
