CYNTHIA AND ZEV: Solve the Mystery of the Boarding School Ghost

CHAPTER 10

Memories are created by good times and bad times. 

The sun is a welcome sight to the students on their return from their camping trip as they arrive back at 8:25am. Doctor Sky, accompanied by the nurses, is already waiting for their arrival and the students are immediately inspected. The boys and girls are examined to ensure nothing had occurred during the trip. However, it seems Doctor Sky is after something more than a brief inspection. 

Cynthia has a small unicorn in her hand, which Doctor Sky swiftly removed. Unwilling to part with her special toy, Cynthia rebels against Doctor Sky's attempts and is only effectively saved from her own predicament by the quick thinking of fellow camper Zev. 

After getting the unicorn, Doctor Sky allowed the students to return to their dorms for some much needed rest following their busy camping trip. But after their arrival, clouds had begun to amass in the skies, blocking out the warm light of the sun. Doctor Sky senses something is wrong, as though he should have taken Cynthia's unicorn sooner than he had. Nurse Tyler, noticing Doctor Sky's apprehension, queries "Is everything alright." and receives a silent nod in response.

Nurse Tyler "Is it something horrible? Should I put an emergency alert to the other nurses?"

Doctor Sky "Yes. tell them to monitor the weather. It will be a mixed up day."

Soon, the skies begin to grow cloudy, and thick. The sun shining brightly is no longer a sight. The storm built from strength to strength, and as  lightning descended from the heavens. This frightens nurse Tyler quickly rushes Henry to his room. Coach Trent and Dr. Sky stands outside of the mansion, watching as the weather changes from a sunny day to a cloudy one with thunder, lightning, and the promise of rain. The sight made Coach Trent smile, but Dr. Sky seemed worried. 

"Yes, rain, fall! I'm praying for you to fall," Coach Trent eagerly exclaims. 

Dr. Sky sighs and responds, "You know I'm not paying you to sleep during class time right?" 

Coach Trent is mildly annoyed, "Shut up, Sky. I'm hoping for a muddy field. I can already see the military activities I will have the students doing." 

Dr. Sky chuckles and askes, "Did you hire any employees for military activities?" 

Coach Trent gets very annoyed and storms off inside the mansion. Dr. Sky laughs to himself and follows suit. As Coach Trent and Dr. Sky steps inside the mansion, they continue to anticipate the conditions of the field. It is clear that Coach Trent is eager for the rain to fall, as the military activities and football training will take on a different dynamic in muddy conditions. It remains to be seen if the weather plays out in favor of the Coach's wishes.

With a heavy heart, Cynthia enters her dorm room accompanied by Nurse Nicole. Her eyes are filled with sadness as the realization that her beloved unicorn, Star, had been taken away from her sinks in. 

Nurse Nicole, with a comforting tone, tries to console Cynthia. "Don't worry, Cynthia. You will get your unicorn back soon," 

Nurse Nicole reassures her. Cynthia's voice trembled as she replied, "It's not just a unicorn. Her name is Star, and she means everything to me." 

Nurse Nicole nods, understanding the depth of Cynthia's attachment. "You will get her back, Cynthia. I promise." 

Cynthia's eyes wells up with tears as she speaks, her voice fills with a mix of sadness and determination. "Star belongs to Samantha, my friend. Taking Star away is like taking away Samantha, and I can't bear to see that happen. I won't forgive you for this." 

The room suddenly begins to shake, causing items to fall from shelves and walls. Cynthia's eyes widened in alarm. "What's going on?" she exclaims. Nurse Nicole, equally bewildered, shook her head. "I don't know. This isn't normal."
