The subject of the day is Mathematics. To make sure everyone learned the correct lessons, each age group is separated for the Mathematics class. With the students being different ages, the large classroom is boarded off from each other with their own black boards, except for the class in front. Since they have the white board.
Ms. Brianna Plier and Ms. Shantell Ram-Charam is in charge of teaching the 6-9 year old (known as Standard 1 to Standard 3). As well as, Mr. Peterson Jack and Mr. Kyle Xylol took responsibility for the 9-11 year old (known as Standard 4 and Standard 5). They both occupy the back of the classroom.
At the front of the class is the group of 14-16 year old (from Form 4 to Form 5). Their teacher is Mr. Spencer Weasley. While, in the middle of the class are the 11-14 year old (from Form 1 to Form 3). Their teachers are Miss Kimberly Singh and Mr. Ricky Sam.
Lastly, in front of the class, on the right hand side were the 16-18 year old (Lower Form 6 and Upper Form 6, ages 17-18). Their teacher is Mr. Brian Holm. The upper and lower forms do not use the white board, they mainly use text books that they share with their partners since the textbooks are scarce.
The teachers start the lesson by introducing basic concepts of mathematics with each group. They slowly progressed from basic addition and subtraction to more complex equations such as trigonometric functions and statistics. As the lesson progressed, the teachers checked the students' understanding and provided extra help where necessary. The class is soon finished with a sense of satisfaction of a well-learned lesson. Although there were students who still did not understand, the teachers were patient with them and taught them.
Violet couldn't believe her ears as she watched around the classroom, trying to figure out where the mysterious voice came from. No one seems to be paying attention to her, completely absorbed in their own tasks. Her heart raced, and she felt a strange mix of excitement and nervousness. "Rescue Star? What could that mean?" she wondered to herself. Curiosity getting the better of her, Violet decides to follow her instincts and investigate. She discreetly finishes her multiplication assignment and then begins discreetly asking her classmates if they had heard anything unusual.
No one else seems to have heard the whisper, which made her feel even more intrigued. When the teacher is engrossed in explaining a math problem to another student, Violet discreetly raises her hand and asks to go to the bathroom again. The teacher, unaware of her previous bathroom break, grants her permission. With hearts pounding, Violet and Olivia made their way to the bathroom. Olivia is granted access to the bathroom the same time as violet because of the buddy system that is in place. Once inside, Violet tells Olivia about the whisper she heard about rescuing Star. Olivia says, "Maybe it was Samantha."
Violet nods happily, "Yeah! Let's go rescue star." Olivia asks with concern "How. the teachers expect us to return to class." Violet reassures Olivia, "It's fine. I'll take the blame. you in or what?" Olivia excitedly agrees. They quickly hatch a plan of action. Violet knew the doctor's office is usually unlocked during school hours, but they would need a distraction to get there without drawing suspicion. Olivia had an idea.
Olivia rushes back to the classroom, causes a water incident and loudly announces that she had accidentally spilled water all over her desk, making it look like an accident. The commotion caught the teacher's attention, and the students' eyes turned to Olivia, who was pretending to be embarrassed about the mess she made. Meanwhile, Violet quietly slipped away unnoticed. Hiding in the corridor, Violet waits for the opportune moment, knowing that the distraction would not last long. As soon as the teacher and some classmates start cleaning up the water, she dashes towards the doctor's office, where Star is being held.
To her relief, the office is unlocked, just as she expected. She found the safe inside and quickly realized it requires a code to open. As she racks her brain, she remembers overhearing the doctor once mentioning his birthdate as the code. Taking a deep breath, she enters the date into the safe, and to her delight, it clicks open. There, inside the safe, is a scared unicorn. Violet carefully coaxes the unicorn out, speaking softly to reassure it. She knew they had to act swiftly. With Olivia's distraction still ongoing, Violet manages to get Star outside without being noticed.
