...Friendship and betrayal lives in the same room for me.. It eats me.. Leaves me as waste... yet.. I still believe...
In visual arts class, Ms. Brianna assigns the students to create a painting based on the theme "Childhood memories." Relaxing music is playing while everyone is painting. Some students had a difficult time choosing a memory to paint whilst others started painting away. There are many different art styles that the students can choose from. This is present through the class. Thirty minutes later, Ms. Brianna starts to walk around the room to view the students' artwork. Some of the artwork Ms. Brianna had seen: 'The Day At The Curious.' by Brittany; 'My Firetruck.' by Billy; 'My Fathers Explosion' by Jim; 'Daddy's Girlfriend.' by Louise; 'My Favorite Swing' by Violet, 'Joining The Football Team.' by Benjamin; 'The Monster Under My Bed Is My Friend.' by Linda and 'My Favorite Summer Activity.' by Jill. Ms. Brianna is now viewing Tommy artwork.
Ms. Brianna "Very good Tommy. The fishes look beautiful."
Tommy "Thank you Ms. I call it 'Tommy: The Golden Fish.' Because he is the best looking fish there is. He's the center of attention, everyone loves and he has been the golden child since birth."
Ms. Brianna "Excellent. Keep up the good work."
Tommy "Thanks!"
Ms. Brianna walks over to Lola "Wow. Lola. What is it?"
Lola ''Not sure. I can not remember much from my childhood but I didn't want the canvas to feel alone so I added paint here, threw paint over there, and used my hands to cover the rest of the canvas in multiple paints."
Ms. Brianna "That's um.. Very interesting. Love how you use lines to create.. this.. Very lovely work of art."
Lola "Why thank you Ms."
Ms. Brianna "Hello James, Zev. I love the artwork Zev. The chess pieces are so life-like."
Zev "Thanks. Art was one of my various house activities father made me do. I drew this piece because it was the only childhood I ever had. The old man is my grandfather and we play chess together all the time. The two silhouettes are my parents. My dad hit her until she was unconscious."
Ms. Brianna "Very realistic. I like that. And uh James.. Um.. what a lovely stick figure painting. Maybe, you could draw and paint real human beings."
Zev "Don't bother Ms. This is all the artist talent that James will ever have."
James "Thanks Zev. Ms. This painting is called 'Me and Zev standing on top of the world.' See, the two figures are me and Zev, the circle is planet earth and the rest of the figures floating in space are everyone else."
Ms. Brianna ''I love the idea, however, you need to represent it better. Use colors to represent space, draw and paint the stick figures better and give earth life and color."
James "Yes Ms."
Ms. Brianna "Zev, be a good friend to James and help him with his painting. He doesn't have much of a childhood."
Zev "hmm...Sure."
Ms. Brianna "Great. Thanks."
As Ms. Brianna walks away, Zev looks at James' artwork and places two dotted eyes on the two stick people standing on top of the circle. Mixed black and blue paint together on his pallet and paints over the rest of the figures. "There. Now it looks good. Just add green and blue in the circle and your artwork is complete." Zev explained to him. "Thanks Zev." James thanked him with great appreciation.
