What a waste of a nice dress. I only wore it for thirty minutes max. I spin around in the mirror making sure to check the back a few times. The dress fits perfectly and I'd be lying if my body wasn't looking good in it.

I shrug the dress off and shimmy my way into a comfy big tee and some pajamas shorts.

Alessandro was so quiet the entire way back from his club. I seriously know nothing about this man. Owning a club, I think he said multiple business and all of them gang affiliation businesses?

He seemed very stressed when we got back to the house, so I decided it'd be better to leave him downstairs to do whatever it is he's doing.

I pull my hair up and plop onto the bed. Looking around the quiet room I stare at the huge TV screen in-front of me.

I hop back off the bed and search for the remote. Two baskets, three cabinets and one drawer later, I finally find it.

I click multiple buttons until I find a search bar and look up 'How to Lose a Guy in Tne Days". I start the movie and cuddle back into the bed.

Matthew McConaughey is so fine in the movie. I mean in general, but phew. The casting crew caught him in his prime.

Half way through the movie Alessandro walks in the room. His tie is off and he looks messy.

"what are you doing, you look like a zombie." I sit up straight.

"I'm so fucked," He runs a hand down his face. He unbuttons his shirt, exposing his solid chest. This man has to dedicate time to the gym because there is no way that happens overnight.

I avert my eyes back to his face and furrow my brows.

"Elise," He walks towards me. He stumbles the entire time. "What are you watching." He lays next to me.

He smells like hard liquor. I cringe and back away.

"have you been drinking?" I ask softly.

"Elise, I am a grown man." He says. His voice is loose and so not Alessandro.

"Sometimes you can be," I smile to myself.

"You're such a pain in my ass." He rolls on his back. "You know you're growing on me. But your time here is coming to an end so," He shrugs.

"It is?" I prod.

"Yup. Won't have to appease my father much longer." He sighs and makes a straight line of his mouth.

"What? What does that mean," I turn towards him.

But he's asleep and he starts slowing his breathing down.

I pull a pillow up and behind him and try to force his body to lay on his side. He ends up tilting over and laying on his stomach. With one hand on the edge of the bed and the other around a pillow. He is knocked out cold.

~

I wake up with an arm around my waist. My body was mistaken for his pillow that he laid his arm around. He kept tossing and turning last night, mumbling something incoherently.

I stretched my body out and let Alessandro's hand rest against my ribcage. He squeezed me before opening his eyes and making eye contact.

"Fuck, what time is it?" He raised his hand to look down at his watch. "I'm taking the day off." He mumbled back into his pillow.

I could tell he is desperately hung over. His whole aura radiated tired and in desperate need of a hangover cure.

"So, will you let me go?" I pull up his arm.

"Hm." He grunts and pulls his arm away.

I make my way out and stretch my very achy body. His big ass is a lot to hold and my poor bones feel like they're ninety years old.

Shuffling to the bathroom, I brush my teeth, hair and wash my face. After my entire routine I pick up a robe and walk out to see if Alessandro's parents are back yet.

I miss Ms. Di Carlo. She's my new best friend around here since the one currently here is being a shady little bitch. I'm not actually mad, I just wonder how long this secret love affair will go on for until it's mysteriously brought to light. Only time will tell.

"Good morning Miss Elise, I have a message for you and Alessandro." A lady in a working uniform holds a note out. "A man called earlier, told me to leave this message for you. I just wrote it down since you guys were asleep." She blushed.

With that she placed the note into my hand and strode off.

Unfolding the note, her writing was scribbled and written as if the person on the phone was speaking too fast for her to follow.

Tell Alessandro it's Pauly. I'm coming late on and talked to Dominic about the whol situatio. Alessandro shouldn't worry abt the whole club situat- we just need a quick chat.

I folded back the note and headed to the room. I feel like I have a secret, ultra, underground message that needs delivering.

I wonder if Alessandro will be worried about the note. If I remember correctly, Pauly was the boss of the group at the club. The one Alessandro had to intervene in because some fight was going on. What could a quick chat mean in Alessandro's very weird and skewed world?

"Alessandro," I call out as I push the door open.

I look up to see Alessandro dressed casually. Something I thought I'd never live to see. He tucks his hands in loose fitted pants and gives his attention to me.

"I have a note for you. Pauly called and told the lady downstairs to leave a message, so here I am playing Hermes for the day." I push the envelope to his chest.

"Pauly?" He looks between my eyes, as if I was lying.

"That's the name I said." I nod.

"Pauly.." He shakes his head as he unfolds the note.

After reading he nods and looks to me as if we're in trouble. "You're a roommate here. Nothing more nothing less, ok? Because Pauly's daughter is a jealous girl and we want to appease Pauly. Understand." He nods for me.

"I am supposed to be a roommate...ok. A roommate who is a little too close by sleeping in the same bed as you." I shrug. "Minor little obstacle I suppose."

"Look, Pauly is like my dad. A no bullshit man. If he suspects you're a girlfriend to me he will not shut up about it, and his daughter will become very angry. Angry daughter equals angry father." He levels down to my eye level.

It makes me feel patronized. So I push his chest back with the palm of my hand. "Whatever Alessandro."

I head to my closet to pick out something to appease this Pauly man and wonder who his daughter is, and why she would take a liking to Alessandro of all people. I mean, he might be one of the most insufferable people I know.
