I boarded on the hovercraft to school already knowing what awaited me there, suffering. "Seeing anything different today?" I hesitantly asked my best friend Jade.

"Haven't checked yet," she said before using her x-ray vision to see through the buildings blocking the school from view, not sure why I asked because I knew exactly what she would say as soon as her eye color changed back to normal, "no, sorry Nataly."

"Don't worry about it, not like it's a big deal at this point."

"Nataly They've been doing this since you were eight, how could I not be concerned." It's true, ever since that day seven years ago when it was revealed that I was useless to this world, this has gone on everyday and gotten more intense with each passing year. Once the craft came to a stop I looked out the window to see the protesters foul signs, hear the conspirators desperate slurs, and smell the black flames brewing. Oliver met us in the parking lot like always and informed us of his most recent vision. Knowing what was coming we made our way through the crowd swiftly, repeating what he said in our heads the entire time. Ground turns to ice three steps in, we moved as quickly as we could and barely got out of range, followed by two acid sprays one aimed for the head the other for your leg, using the reflexes I built up from three years of fencing I dodged both with eas, then a baseball is thrown at your face but I didn't see anything else after that so get out of there as fast as you can. After barely avoiding the fatal throw we all picked up the pace trying our best to avoid the chaotic onslaught of powers and flaming objects directed at me! Like always we made it into the building without any serious injuries, but wondering why no one has done anything about these people. It is the school's responsibility to ensure the safety of all students but they constantly ignore over 50 people trying to kill a student as long as they don't stop everyone else from getting in! I get that the police and people working here agree with what these people are saying but that doesn't make protesting without a permit and attempted homicide any less illegal! Anyways, once the struggle to step foot inside the building was over we just had to get through the hallways. Luckily 86.73% of the students aren't bullies, 43.365% don't secretly hate me while badly trying to hide it, and the 14.27% that bully anyone who isn't popular are easy to ignore.

"Kris you can come out now." Jade called out.

"You sure, I swear I can still hear those people!" Kris mumbled.

"That's because we're still close to the door, you're fine."

"If you say so, but if as soon as I can see again we die then fire won't be the only thing torturing you down below!" Kris reluctantly stopped being invisible and breathed a sigh of relief before receiving a light shove from Oliver.

"I can't believe you just stayed invisible that entire time while all those people were trying to kill Nataly, what kind of friend does that!?"

"Calm down Oliver, at least him staying invisible puts one less person in trouble, and besides wouldn't you do the same if you had his powers." I reassure Oliver while I stand between him and Kris,
