Eve was looking around the Tardis in amazement, Amy had already ran off somewhere to explore, leaving her and the Doctor alone in the console room together.

Eve senses the Doctor's eyes on her causing her to look up and make eye contact with him from across the room. She let out a small smile when a feeling of content washed over her. The empty feeling that she had over the last 2 years was slowly melting away every second she was near the Doctor.

The Doctor hesitantly walked over towards his soulmate until he was stood almost directly in-front of her.

"I truly am sorry for leaving you once again. It was never my intention to hurt you" The Doctor says sadly as he looks down at the floor guiltily.

"I know you didn't do it intentionally, so there is nothing to be sorry for. There is one way you could make it up to me though..." Eve says with a thoughtful look as the Doctor snaps his eyes up to meet hers.

"And what's that, Angel?" The Doctor asks curiously

"You said you would tell me what this connection between us was last time we met, ever since you left I had this empty feeling within me. Like I was missing a part of myself and I know it has something to do with you" Eve says tilting her head slightly as the Doctor nods his head before gently wrapping his hand around her wrist and bringing it up next to his own.

Eve holds her breathe as she feels the tingles shoot all over her body from just his touch alone. She looks down at the tattoo on her wrist of the stars and planet before looking over at the Doctor's wrist to see a tattoo of a lotus flower.

"The first time we met, your wrist started to itch didn't it and when we first made eye contact our eyes glowed a golden colour" The Doctor starts as Eve nods along in agreement.

"Where I come from, every one has a bonded. In other words a soulmate. When we turn 18 our soulmate mark will appear, which supposedly represents your other half. When you are near your soulmate, the soul mark will begin to burn and itch to signal that you have found them or that they are close by. Upon first eye contact with your soulmate, our eyes glow golden to show that we have found our soulmate and that the bond has been formed" The Doctor explains, looking towards Eve for any signs of discomfort, only to find her staring back at him with interest and understanding.

"After the bond is formed, if you are away from your soulmate for an extended period of time, it can cause you to feel an overwhelming sense of emptiness or longing for your other half." The Doctor adds as Eve's eyes light up in realisation.
