"I'm going to get them back, Rory. You know how much they mean to me, how much she means to me. But in the meantime, I'll keep you all safe, I promise. Come on, please. I need you alongside me." The Doctor said with a pleading look as Rory continued to glare at him. The Doctor glanced once more at Rory before turning around and walking back over to the church.
Rory looked around at the empty village before sighing and reluctantly following after the Doctor. Even if he didn't want to admit it, his best chance of getting Amy back was through the Doctor. Besides, he knew that nothing would stop the Doctor from reuniting with Eve and he truly felt bad for whatever had taken them.
━━━━━━♥♠♥━━━━━━ IN THE CHURCH...
The inside of the church was full of old bits of furniture and junk, now being used as a storage room rather than an actual church. The Doctor, Nasreen and Mack had set up their computers on an old workbench.
"So we can't get out, we can't contact anyone, and something, the something that took my husband, is coming up through the Earth." Ambrose said in disbelief, still not believing anything her father had told her about what had taken Mo.
"Yes. If we move quickly enough, we can be ready." The Doctor answered with a smile as he walked away from the computers so he could stand in-front of her.
"No, stop. This has gone far enough. What is this?" Ambrose asked exasperatedly, throwing her hands up in the air as the Doctor spared her one last glance before returning to work on the computers.
"He's telling the truth, love." Mack replied softly, hands working to undo the wires as he stared towards his distraught daughter.
"Come on. It's not the first time we've had no mobile or phone signals. Reception's always rubbish." Ambrose argued, slipping her hands into her jacket pockets as Elliot looked back and forth between his mother and his grandad.
"Look, Ambrose. We saw the Doctor's friends get taken, okay? You saw the lightning in the sky. I have seen the impossible today, and the only person who's made any sense of it for me, is the Doctor." Nasreen exclaimed defensively, pointing over her shoulder at the Doctor who sent her an appreciative look, happy that at least someone here believed in him.
"Him?" Ambrose scoffed incredulously as she glanced over Nasreen's shoulder to where the Doctor had disappeared off to.
"Me." The Doctor stated cheerfully, suddenly popping up from behind the table with a huge grin on his face.
"Can you get my dad back?" Elliot questioned with a hopeful frown. The innocence of his question causing everyone to fall silent as they turn to look at the Doctor, also curious to hear his response.
