Emily took Elliot, Lucas and Cindy to a popular chinese restaurant, to celebrate Lucas's High School Graduation. He will graduate in 4 more days, and then he's free. Emily and the others bought their food and went to go sit down at their seats.
"So what do you guys want to eat?" Emily asked.
"I was going to go up and grab what I needed." Cindy replied.
"Okay, I don't care what you get. Just don't get yourself too much." She said.
So they went over to get their food. Elliot was getting her food and Lucas came over.
Elliot looked at Lucas and put her plate down. She used her hands to gesticulate only in public and people that don't know her power. "Hey Lucas! What are you doing?"
"Just coming to see you..." Lucas said in a somewhat awkward voice.
"Hey. I am happy to see you graduate. I am actually really excited! But, also worried..."
"What makes you say that? Is it about me?" Lucas asked in a normal voice.
"What? No." Elliot grabbed Lucas's hand and dragged him to a corner where people wouldn't notice or hear them.
"What are you doing?" Lucas asked.
Elliot took a deep breath. "I do not think it's dead. Its got to be alive!" Elliot said.
"What do you mean? What's gotta be alive?"
"That demon! It could still be alive. Besides we never found out who this "Enzo" guy really is"
"Okay, I get it. But, its been three years since we've found anything. There's nothing else. What do you expect me to do?"
"But he's out there! I would need you to help and do something! We have to do something!"
"Elliot, there's nothing we can do. At least you may think for now. But... that's all we have. We have no more monsters on the island! We're safe at this point! There's no more legends..." Those words made Elliot shiver. Lucas left to get more food and Elliot was left standing in the corner.
Elliot didn't know how to convince him there was more to do... But, there is still a lot left. Ever since the demon was burned, Elliot was stuck in the dark mist with the mysterious guy. "Who is Enzo... That was not my answer... You still have a lot more to discover..." The same words over and over were stuck in her head.
Elliot walked away from the corner and tried to see if anybody noticed her and Lucas's arguement. Everybody was just sitting quietly, talking. Except one person. Elliot passed this person and all he did was give off a glare. Kind of looked like he was trying to intimidate Elliot. It did. It was his red eyes that made her feel intimidated. It made her feel terrified, and also made her... remember someone...
Elliot kept walking and finished picking her food. After that, she went to go sit at their table. It was just Emily and Elliot. Emily looked at Elliot and noticed her disappointment. Emily pushed her food to the side. "Okay. What's wrong? You do this almost everyday." Emily pointed out.
"It's nothing..."
"There's something. Tell me."
"I'm fine." Elliot said with a frown.
"Elliot, please tell me. I really think I can help you!"
Elliot slammed, and broke the table"I don't want any help!" Elliot shouted with her voice.
"Elliot!?"
"Mom!" The room was silent. "I-i..." Elliot ran outside of the restaurant and sat on the bench, crying.
"Elliot..." Emily said, still sitting at her seat. "I would love to be... your mother..."
But with those words, they changed nothing. Throughout the weeks, Elliot would cry at a random time, begging for her mother to never have died. She really wanted answers, but knew it wouldn't be possible. It was impossible for her to cure her depression...
