Violet Rose:

"Darling, Cole's here to see you!" my mom's voice makes me stop my movements and I take a deep breath. I texted him four days ago that we need to talk and he shows up now?

"Hey you." he walks through my door and immediately sighs once he sees me glaring at him. "Violet-" "No. I talk, you listen." I cut him off him and he nods in surrender. He seats himself down on my bed and I cross my arms.

"You know I could kill you for what you did two weeks ago," he nods. "And trust me I have thought about it way more than once."

"You know Logan could kill you for the words you threw at him," he nods again. "And I do not blame him for it." "Violet-""Did I tell you I was finished?" I grit and he sighs, shaking his head. There is so much I have to say to him.

"You're behaving like an asshole, just because I finally found someone who treats me right. Why would you ever get the idea that Logan doesn't deserve me? Okay fine, maybe it was stupid to keep this a secret from you but I know what I want. And I want Logan, believe it or not." I exhale a long breath.

"Violet he isn't good for you." "How do you know? You don't see how he makes me laugh or how well he took care of me after the whole Italian mafia shit." I cross my arms. "Cole, I know you live with him and I know you know him longer than I do but he is so much more than a dangerous human being,"

"It was hard for me at first when I found out about your mafia. Obviously I was scared with everything that had happened, but he made me trust him and you speaking about him like that isn't something he deserves. You're supposed to be his best friend Cole, whose best friend says things like that?" I sigh, frustrated and watch him bite his inner cheek.

"You don't get it." he says and my eyebrows furrow. "Then make me understand for fucks sake. Why would you make up a rule that says Logan isn't allowed to talk to me?"

I don't get it. I thought he knew about me and Logan but now I finally realized that that's why Logan would tell me to be quiet every time we'd come home late at night. None of the guys knew that I had spent countless nights with Logan, he snuck me in every time. This did mean something to him, didn't it? I mean why else would he take the risk of breaking a rule. He wants this just as much as I do. He wants us.

And I was idiotic enough to believe the words he said that night. Brie was right, men do get scared to show their feelings around their guy friends. And honestly I can't blame Logan for it but I know that he wants me. He has to. And I want him so badly as well.

"Your parents." Cole snaps. My parents? "What about them?" I ask, clearly confused. He sighs, dragging a hand down his face and ruffling through his hair. "Cole?"

"I still remember when you were thirteen and all dreamy about boys. I was sixteen and that was the first time they'd talk to me about it. Violet you don't know what it felt like being seated in a room with two adults who are staring down at you. They made me promise to keep you away from boys until the age of sixteen, do you know how nerve wracking that was? Then once you turned sixteen I thought it was over. The lectures they would give me every time I came over. But it all just got worse. They made me promise to make sure every guy you find for yourself knows where his place is, they wanted you to date someone that is able to keep you safe, but who are they kidding? They wanted you to marry a rich husband, why else would they have picked out Chase."
