Logan Reat:

It's been one and a half months since my father got locked up. It's time to confront him now.
"Wait you're going somewhere?" Violet's head peaks out from the bathroom as she's putting some mascara onto her eyelashes. My god she's pretty. "Oh, yeah Tyler asked me to get some ice cream." I scratch the back of my neck as her eyes narrow. "Stop saying yes to everything. Tyler's old enough to buy his own stuff." she says. "It's fine. I need to get some things for the house anyway." I lie and she nods, blowing out a breath. "You're too good for this world." she leans in as I kiss her lips before leaving.
I tried telling her I'm going to visit my dad but I just couldn't bring myself to it. I don't want to worry her with my family business, besides if I told her, she would have asked to come. I don't want her to meet my father.

I climb into my car and head to prison. Apparently my father is locked up in some special cell with seventy security cameras. As to what I've been told, all he ever does is cuss everyone out. He's been extremely calm though and that scares me. Mom is currently back in Greece, probably working and I'm glad she is safe.
I step out of the car in a black button up, undoing my cuffs and rolling up my sleeves as well as unbuttoning the first three buttons, trying to keep my breathing calm. My black shoes hit the ground as I walk into prison.

A young officer leads me to a small window with a telephone attached to it, my father already waiting for me on the other side. He's smirking.
I sit down on the chair, waiting for the officer to leave and I don't pick up the phone yet. I just stare at my father, my jaw and fists clenched tightly as he's leaning back in his chair, arms crossed and his legs spread while he's smirking at me, looking calmer than I would like him to be. He's wearing an orange suit, his face fucked up and I almost smile knowing that those are still bits left from my fists. His dark black hair is now shaved short, he looks older than before and way stricter. But he is strict, I'm just the only one who knows how strict.

Smirking, he leans forward crossing his arms on the table and putting the telephone to his ear. I swallow hard when he narrows his eyes at me and I hate myself for not allowing myself to disobey him. So I pick up the telephone as well.

"I almost thought you were too much of a baby to visit me." his dark voice rings my ears, my teeth tightly pressed together as I'm hoping he can't see my hands shaking. "It's a pleasure to see you too, father." I say dryly making him chuckle. "You were always a great liar." he exhales deeply, leaning back in his chair.
His words sting. I am lying to Violet, about more things than one and it's horrible. We promised to tell each other everything and I'm breaking that promise way too often. I am a liar.
"I learned from the best." I grit out, his satisfied smile irritating me. "You did. I taught you everything you know, now look how far you've come. Locking me up in prison." he smirks. Is he praising me for overpowering him?
"How aren't you dead?" I breathe, trying my best to sound strong but I just don't know how long my body is able to keep this act up.
Dad licks his lips, a stupid smile building up on them. "You truly don't know shit about your father, do you?" he shakes his head disappointingly, a tightening feeling in my lungs.
"I asked you one simple question. Answer it." my whole body is shaking and I'm praying he won't notice. "You're young. You're stupid. Do your research right, stupid boy." is all I get as an answer.
