Chapter 13 We'll Get Through This

" Stay here I'm going to get the bag" luckily the only thing she would let me do early was the hospital bag and diaper bag " Hurry!" I heard her yell I threw my shoes on and a shirt  grabbing the bags throwing them over my shoulder and ran down the steps " It's okay I'm here Wens" I put my arm under her legs and one under her back carrying her bridal style " It's going to be okay " she put her arms around my neck leaning her head on my chest I opened the the front door and rushed to the car " Shit keys" I panicked " You put the spare in the garden light" she mentioned " Okay do you think you'll be more comfortable in the back" " No I want to be next to you" she said and I nodded putting her in the passenger seat buckling her and kissed her forehead " I'll be right back" I ran up to the front door grabbing the key out of the garden light and ran back getting in the car wasting no time to start driving putting my hand in hers and she squeezed it lightly trying not to hurt me " God dammit Tyler!" She yelled but I let it go she was in pain " how far away are we" she asked rubbing my hand " Almost there baby almost there"   I sped up " Stop don't speed" " I'm only going 50 the speed limit 45 it's only 5 miles over"  " It's 15 in the neighborhood!" She yelled " We're out of the neighborhood" I told her and pulled into the parking lot " Ik going to get you a wheelchair will you be fine for a few minutes" she nodded and I ran as fast as I could inside and looked for a wheelchair " Sir calm down, what's wrong" " I I need a wheelchair or something my girlfriend is in labor and she is in the car " the nurse nodded and grabbed me one and I booked it outside to the car "I'm here" I tried catching my breath putting her in the wheelchair and then grabbed the bags out of the back and rushed her inside "Sir" " Her name is Wednesday Addams and mine is Tyler Galpin, she is in labor" the nurse nodded " Ryan take them to this room and have Dr. Gallagher see how far she's dilated asap" the nurse started to type in and Ryan showed us the room " I'll go get Dr. Gallagher " he left and I helped Wednesday get situated in the bed " Tyler you did this to me!" She yelled and hit my arm " You didn't stop me, besides I was the drunk one not you" she rolled her eyes adjusting her pillow" Pretty soon our little girl is going to be here " Boy" " Girl " Boy, Tyler I swear if I push out a girl I'm slapping you " " What why! " " Because I'm pushing out the child that you made!" " Fair point, but umm I thought you liked the pain " " This is not the good type of pain where are the drugs" she looked around" I think they give them to you when you go to the delivery room " Ah " she held her stomach shutting her eyes tight " Contraction" she stated" Breath in" she was listening " Breath out" " It's not working" " You have to keep doing it okay " I sat down next to her and she kept breathing through it " 2 weeks early is that bad?" I asked her and she didn't respond " Hello Mrs Addams " "Let's see how far you are" the doctor put on gloves and sat on a spinning stool rolling over to the end of Wednesday's bed " Doc is this bad for the baby to be 2 weeks early?" " it's perfectly normal" " Babies love coming early " " Do you know this works" he asked her and she nodded I looked at Wednesday nodding as it'll be okay and she just closed her eyes squeezing my hand trying not to focus on the pain " This little one doesn't want to wait 10 centimeters already" the doctor stood up "You're going to be a mom" I looked at her smiling" Our baby is almost here " I smiled and the doctor called in nurses and as nurse handed me scrubs " Put those on over your clothes " I nodded and threw them on running down the hallway holding her hand " Call Enid and Ajax ask them to finish building the furniture" "Agh!" She groaned " This baby is coming and it's coming now " I rubbed her hand and they got her set up in the delivery room  " Get this child out of me!" She yelled and I kissed her forehead " We're going to meet our baby" " Tyler are you about to push a child out of you!" She squeezed my hand " Okay I'll shut up" she looked at the doctor" Okay Mrs Addams I need you to push" she sat forward pushing as hard as she could squeezed my hand " Don't worry about hurting me okay" she nodded " Push " the doctor said" I see a head" he added I smiled" Keep pushing baby" she let her her body fall back ' I need a minute" she tried to catch her breath " Come on you gotta keep pushing Wens" she had tears and sweat running down her face as she started pushing again I put my other hand on her back " It's a girl!" The doctor said and I heard crying " You did it our little girl is here " I told you I'm going to slap you" she hit my arms and I chuckled " Okay Dad will you cut the umbilical cord" I looked at Wednesday and she nodded breathing heavily " Yea" I smiled and he handed me special scissors and I cut the umbilical cord smiling at my daughter " Okay nurses will you clean up baby girl" " Okay mom you have to push again " " What I my baby's right there " " You're having twins" " What!" We both looked surprised " " You didn't know you were having twins " " No" " Well I need you to push " she nodded and started to push again " okay the baby is in a more difficult position but it's okay" Dr. Gallagher explained I turned to Wednesday" It'll be okay " I kissed her forehead after a little bit my twins were both here " It's a boyl" the doctor smiled but turned to a nurse worried and cut the umbilical cord " Take him to the NICU" the doctor whispered but I heard " What's wrong why wasn't he crying" I panicked " Where are you going with my baby " Wednesday reached out for him but a nurse brought us our first born handing her to Wednesday " Where are they going with my baby" she turned to the nurse " I'm sure everything is okay probably just to make sure hes okay" " Do you have a name picked out " " Not yet" I said " Well I'm going to put her in the nursery and get you moved back to your room" she nodded and handed the nurse our baby girl and they got her back to her room " I was looking at her and I was thinking Katie " she looked up at me and I smiled " I like that, Katie and Tanner?" I asked and she smiled " Yeah Tanner " she moved over on the bed " Cuddle with me" she smiled and I did as told climbing in the bed and cuddled up with her and kissed her cheek " Why don't you get some rest " but the nurse said she'll bring them in for feeding soon"  " While try to get some rest before she comes" she nodded" But you have to call Enid and Ajax and ask them to set up the nursery, oh an ask them to get another crib I'll send them money " " Okay okay I'll call them I'll be out in the hallway " she nodded and I got out of bed walking out and stepped in the hallway calling Enid " Hey Tyler what's up " " So don't be mad but we just had the baby" " What oh my god boy or girl!" She asked excited " Both" I responded" TWINS ! Ajax they had Twins!" I could tell she was jumping" Can you guys run and get another crib we'll send you the money and can you build it " " You guys- ugh yeah we can but I want to see my babies " " The ones already built " " Okay" " Bye" "Bye " I hung up and walked in to Wednesday asleep I smiled to myself and laid next to her and the nurse knocked and walked in " Feeding time " I smiled this was the first time I actually got to see Tanner " Here I'll take him, she looks hungrier" the nurse nodded as I basically leaped out of bed I was just so excited I was going to get to hold one of my babies " I'm officially a dad now" I said to myself and I sat back down next to Wednesday who started to stir" Hhm?" He grumbled a little bit " Some twins are hungry" the nurse said handing her Katie " So did we pick out names yet mom and dad " First names, not middle names or last name " " Tyler I want them to have Galpin, I don't want them to be criticized because their last name is Addams, you know nobody likes my family " " I do" she rolled her eyes playfully" Okay so we have Katie " " Lyn?" Wednesday looked at me and I nodded" Katie Lyn Galpin " " So cute the nurse smiled " Lyn spelt with one N " " And Tanner Milo Galpin" " We had that named picked out for weeks" I chuckled " Okay I'll go get their birth certificate and bring them for you guys to sign " we smiled and when the nurse left she looked for the bags " Where's the feeding blanket?"  She asked and I got out of the bed and grabbed the hospital bag putting it on the chair next to the bed pulling it all the way to my side so we could reach it " One feeding blanket" I smiled and laid back down in the bed looking at Tanner smiling digging through the bag " Why did we bring so many stuffies " I brought 3  one for you one me and one for the baby" I smiled and she rolled her eyes  I handed one to Tanner and he cuddled it sucking on its ear " look at him" I chuckled " Katie I know your hungry it's right here" " Eh eh!" Katie whined about to start crying but stop when Wednesday started to breastfeed her " I'm sorry I woke you up " " It's fine they need to be feed " I kissed her cheek  and the doctor came in " I'm sorry I left you two worried earlier, Tanner wasn't crying because he just wasn't as vocal as his sister trust me there was nothing wrong with his breathing" I sighed of relief" But, he does have a serious case of autism and has till probably only 10 to live" my heart dropped and I looked down at Tanner who was sleeping peacefully the the stuffed cats ear in his mouth " W-what no that can't be " I stumbled over my words and Wednesday looked like she was about to break down " Is it my fault? Did I not do something right " " Mrs Addams I assure you it's nothing you did wrong " " It was me" I sighed " Autism runs in my family I was afraid this would happen since it skipped 2 generations " I looked down at my lap " Umm I also have the birth certificates for you two to sign" he walked over handing them to us with a pen and clipboard I signed my name under father on both of them and handed it to Wednesday who handed me Katie as she was fine eating and was asleep, Wednesday signed and handed the pen and clipboard" back to the doctor" I'll leave you 4 alone now"  " 10 10! Only till he's 10!" I freaked out " They were just born not even an hour ago and now he's telling us our son he till he's 10 to live!" " Tyler stop yelling sit please before you make them cry" " I'm sorry her why don't you try to feed Tanner "
