Chapter 14 It's Different

( I forgot to say this last chapter, but what Tanner has is completely based off of Arnie from what's eating Gilbert Grape and I did research and everything said he had Autism, if he doesn't please correct me and I will fix it in my story but enjoy)

"They're so cute!" Enid ran up to us as we walked in" I'll get the bags " Ajax Walked by" I would've got it" I sighed but he was already at the car" This is Tanner" I smiled showing her Tanner " And This is Katie" " Let me hold them" Here hold him " I handed Tanner to Enid  " We finished painting the nursery and built the changing table last night " " You guys didn't have to do that " Wednesday said as Ajax walked in putting the bags down and smiled as Wednesday handed him Katie " Here um" I looked through my pockets grabbing my wallet" Put that away Tyler we don't need you money seeing my babies is the best payment" she tickled Tanner and he giggled " Do you guys mind watching them while we finish decorating the nursery" " Of course we don't go go do what you need then get some rest, we'll cook dinner" " That's nonsense we " Go" she said and we went upstairs " Where do you want the cribs?" I asked her and she looked around "I want that one there and this one here" She said pointing to two separate corners of the room " Gotcha" I nodded and walked over moving them to where she wanted they we on the same wall in the corners and the closet on the other wall next to the window," I was thinking we put the changing table next to the closet" I walked over and moved to changing table where she wanted " " We got to get another mobile for over the crib " she said as she looked through a box that was in the closet that had baby stuff " Okay let me decorate now! " She shoved me out of my room " I can help " " Nope" she smiled and started to hang things up and put down sheets I shook my head and walked downstairs to the kitchen" You guys hungry or thirsty?" " We're good " I nodded and got two cups of chocolate milk and made sandwiches " well if you change your mind help yourself" I said walking upstairs to the nursery I leaned on the doorway admiring her beauty as she stood on her tippy toes trying to put stuff on the shelves " I brought you a sandwich and chocolate milk" I smiled walking over to her and kissed her handing her her plate and cup " Thanks baby" she smiled and sat on the floor and I sat in front of her " After lunch want to take a nap?" I smiled and she chuckled" Sounds nice " she took a bite of her sandwich" This is hitting the spot right now " she chuckled drinking the chocolate milk" Mister I see the way you're looking at me, that's not happening for a while not after what I just went through a few days ago " I put my hands up " Trust me I don't plan on it" I layed on my side supporting myself on my elbow eating my lunch" I need to see my babies it's been too long" she stood up but I pulled her back down " Babe enjoy your lunch " " waagh!" We heard screaming from downstairs and she ran downstairs I sighed grabbing the plates and cups and walked after her " My baby" she ran to Tanner who was screaming " Baby what's wrong " she grabbed him rocking him and then Katie started to go off and I walked to the kitchen putting the dishes down grabbing my sandwich wand walked over to Ajax grabbing her " Hey guys there's formal in the bag can you guys make them bottles " I asked and took a bite of my sandwich and they nodded" Bottles in the cupboard " Wednesday added " Forgot for a minute we were doing formal and breastfeeding " she chuckled as she bounced Tanner " Baby want you cat?" She asked looking for the stuffed plush and grabbed it off the couch "Katie just wants her Daddy" I smiled at her tickling her stomach and she giggled " He's still crying, he doesn't need a diaper change, he doesn't want the toy or the pacifier" " Maybe he's hungry " I suggested sitting next to her on the couch and she sighed " Is it something I'm doing?" She looked over at me and I handed her my sandwich which she took a bite of  " Are you sure it isn't something I did during the pregnancy that he has autism" " Baby no no it's just a my grandmother had it but it skipped my mom and well I'm not sure if I have it but" I choked on my words at the thought of my mother but kept it together " Wish my Dad was here to see his grandchildren" I huffed and nodded as she handed my sandwich back and I finished it and looked at Ajax and Enid coming over "2 bottles" Enid handed a bottle to me and Wednesday " are you hungry ?" She asked him and tried to feed him the bottle but he was refusing it every time she got  the bottle in his mouth he pushed it away " Here take Katie let me try" I could tell she was stressed all ready and I handed her Katie and she handed me Tanner "Come on buddy eat for Da Da" but he started crying more " So he's not hungry either what's wrong " she got worked up " Maybe he doesn't like the texture of the bottle " Ajax pointed out " My little brother was liked that " " Why don't you take him upstairs and try feeding him" he suggested and Wednesday nodded giving Katie who was asleep to Ajax and I handed her screaming Tanner and she walked upstairs to the nursery and I got up putting Tanners bottle in the fridge and took care of the dishes finishing my chocolate milk Wednesday had half a sandwich left so I grabbed it and her chocolate milk bringing it up to her " Hey" I said walking in closing the door behind me " I didn't know if you wanted this" " It's only been 2 days and I feel horrible" she rocked in the rocking chair patting Tanners back lightly trying to get him to sleep " It's not your fault every mother goes through this, all parents for the first few weeks are tired and feel like they did something wrong " " I just feel like it's my fault, was it the fact we didn't know we were having twins?" " You can't beat yourself up for this " " Katie is perfectly fine but Tanner only has till he's 10!" She was on the verge of tears which is rare for her " He's asleep lets put him in bed, I'll go get Katie put her to bed, and we'll lay down in bed and talk about anything you want " she nodded and got up putting Tanner in his crib and I walked downstairs" Want to put her in the crib, I gotta talk to Wens " Enid nodded and took Katie from Ajax and walked upstairs I followed her but I went to my room instead and I walked in her sitting on the bed sighing looking at the baby monitor that was up " Baby " I walked over and sat next to her and she laid her head on my chest I just wrapped my arms around her my hand on her head " It's okay" I reassured her as she started crying" My son only has 10 years I don't know how to process that" " And I'm not use to that feeling of not knowing" I rubbed her back and put the blanket over us " I know, none of my family had it so serious " " I can't lose him" " I " " I can't lose him, Katie or you " she sniffled and I hugged her tightly" I can't lose you baby and I won't let anything happen to you or the twins " " You can't stop a mental disorder from taking our son " " Wednesday I will do everything in my power to keep you 3 safe" " Do you want to take a nap?" She slowly nodded in response and got comfortable cuddling closer to me her head still on my chest" I love you Tyler" " I love you too Wens I love you too"
