Parekh Bhawan, 10:00 am.
Bela Parekh was grumbling under her breath. She was angry with Aashna. The ungrateful girl left in haste without completing her daily chores. It caused her precious daughter late for work. She was cursing Aashna repeatedly. How dare she make Ramya go without a proper schedule?! She can't do one proper thing. She is just a burden on everyone. What does she achieve by teaching in a school? She is no more than a speck of dust compared to Ramya. Her dear daughter Ramya is not only beautiful, but she is also a top upcoming model. Ramya makes her so proud unlike Aashna, who embarrasses her.
In the living room, she sat along with her husband Brijesh, who was reading important files related to work. He had to finalise things before going to the office and seeing the land for the construction of a new branch. She silently drank tea served to her by a servant. She hummed in satisfaction. The taste was up to her approval. Another servant ran in a hurry towards her. She narrowed her eyes at his fidgeting figure. Putting the tea down, she assessed him.
"What is it?"
"Maalkin, some people are here to meet Maalik Sahab."
Bela looked at Brijesh, silently asking if he had some visitors. Brijesh seemed unaware of the situation. She frowned, this was new.
"Who?"
"Aarav Modi, Maalkin."
Bela immediately stood up once she heard exactly who came to meet them. Aarav Modi is a famous and established businessman. He has achieved far more wealth than they own in four years of founding his company. The twenty-five years old man was a big fish to catch. Not only he is wealthy, but his family is also well-known and respected. He is the only son of business tycoon couple Komal and Raghav Modi. All in all, his being here is a big and huge opportunity for them. They can grow a connection with Modi's. It will benefit them immensely. The Modis were hard to talk with and harder to make allies with.
The big question though was, why is Aarav Modi here?
Brijesh urgently sent the servant to bring the honoured guest inside. He asked another servant to clear the mess of files from the table. Bela ordered the chefs to prepare a grand meal for the Modi heir. They need to impress him to gain his favour.
Bela and Brijesh stood by the door to welcome the Modi heir. Once he came through the main door, their eyes widened. He was so handsome. Tall, lean, and muscular body, face chiselled with a sharp jawline, he was a sight to sore eyes. The big brown doe eyes matched the colour of his hair and perfectly complimented his square-cut face. Thick eyebrows and long eyelashes gave him a naturally serious yet serene appearance. Dressed in a crisp black Dolce and Gabbana suit that complimented his pale skin, he looked marvellous. The Parekh couple couldn't find words to speak. The man was too gorgeous.
The Modi heir has not come alone. Behind him was another man, maybe slightly older but definitely lesser good-looking compared to the Modi heir. He was a few inches shorter than Aarav, has black hair and dark brown eyes, and olive skin. He had a scruff on his slightly sharp jawline. He was dressed in a pressed white shirt and black dress pants. To say in words, he was average in appearance. A middle-aged woman accompanied the men. She looked similar to the average man, both having black hair and dark brown eyes with olive skin. Maybe, the duo was mother and son.
Bela and Brijesh got over their momentary shock and enthusiastically welcomed the guests. Once everyone was seated on the sofas, Bela couldn't hold her curiosity longer and finally asked,
"What is the reason for your unexpected and sudden visit, Mr Modi?"
Aarav remained stoic and silent. An awkward and tense silence filled the air. Bela squirmed uncomfortably. Brijesh pressed his lips in a thin line.
