After the rather depressing realisation that three of my closest friends were heading towards death, we all headed in separate directions with me going with Lydia as she apparently wanted some quality time with me.
"So remind me why you wanted to hang out so suddenly?" I asked Lydia ask I casually strolled into her bedroom, laying myself down on her bed.
"I wanted some semi-normal girl time" Lydia shrugged not putting much thought into her answer.
"Hey! I am perfectly normal!" I insisted loudly. I am normal, I'm just not in a normal situation.
"You are about as far from normal as you can get" Lydia retorted with a slight laugh.
"And how so?" I asked laughing with her.
"Um let me think, you see things?" Lydia replied in a 'duh' tone. Hmm I didn't think of that one.
"Yeah well you hear things" I fired back quickly without a seconds hesitation.
"Touché" Lydia smiled as she also laid down on the bed.
"So what do you want to do for this 'semi-normal' girl time?" I questioned as I turned to face Lydia.
Within a second I received Lydia's reply.
"Watch the notebook"

After several hours of gossiping, laughing, and of course watching the notebook, I finally requested that Lydia drive me home which she did.
It was nice to have a normal conversation that doesn't involve werewolves, banshees, seers, and alphas for a change. Well we did mention witches and vampires while we were talking about the vampire diaries but that definitely doesn't count as a supernatural discussion.
Once Lydia had dropped me off at home it was around 9:30 pm so I decided that I would shower quickly and try to get some sleep.
After a quick shower, I put on batman pyjama shorts and a matching top and tucked myself into bed, checking all of the dark corners on my room to make sure nothing was lurking in the shadows and then I switched off my lamp, quickly shutting my eyes and drifting off to what I wished to be a dreamless sleep.

There was a bitter cold breeze sweeping through the trees making a shiver run down my spine. In front of me was an over turned car, with broken windows and rust coating it. The most noticeable thing though was the claw marks that ran down the side of the car. Claw marks that definitely weren't from an ordinary animal. A faint howl echoed from a distance making me feel slightly panicked.
Before I had time to figure out where I was, the trees around me seemed to spin before I was thrown into a different scene. This time, Scott was crouched down in front of my shiver form, inches away from the face of what could be mistaken for a normal coyote had it not been for the unmissable blue glow in its eyes.
"Malia?" Scott asked before the entire scene turned dark.
••••
I woke up gasping for air and shaking violently. I sat straight up in my bed, searching for my phone to call Scott about what happened.
Before I could make the phone call, my mother rushed into the room wielding an aluminium baseball bat which Stiles had recommended we buy. My mother switched on my light, quickly searching my room for a threat only to find nothing.
"Honey? Oh my god what happened?" My mom panicked still on high alert.
"Sorry mom, it was just a nightmare" I apologised. I felt guilty considering I had woken my mother up and she doesn't get much sleep with her having to go to work at the hospital at stupid o'clock in the morning and night. I swear to god she doesn't get paid enough.
