Isaac and I helped Deaton full three large Tubs with water, ice, and mistletoe while Scott , stiles ,and Allison left to go get an object that belongs to their parents.
"And you're sure this is safe?" I asked Deaton.
"Do you want me to answer honestly?" Deaton replied seriously.
"No, I guess not" I muttered still filling the tubes that would eventually hold my best friends dead bodies."We're back" Scott states the obvious as he walks through the door with stiles and Allison on his heels.
"You all have something belonging to your parents?" Deaton questions, stepping away from the tubs.
"I got my dads badge. Jennifer crushed it with her hand, I tried hammering it out but it still doesn't look right" stiles sighed.
"It doesn't have to look right, it just has to have a meaning" Deaton pointed out.
"Is that an actual silver bullet?" Isaac asked turning his head to Allison."Yeah. It's sort of a tradition that once a hunter finishes learning all the skills they need, they make silver bullets. This was my dads." Allison explained.
Scott was holding an old watch. "My father gave this to my mom. She used to joke that that it was the only thing that worked in her marriage" Scott said attempting to laugh but stopped short. this situation is seriously depressing.
Lydia and I stood there, just staring at the others. if they don't come back, not only will we have lost our closest friends but we also would have failed their parents.
"Okay you each need someone to hold you under but they're not just holding you under, they also have to be able to bring you back, like an emotion connection or tether." Deaton explained. I glanced at Lydia and noticed her walking over to Allison. Deaton stopped her before she could reach our best friend.
"Clara, you go with Allison. Lydia you with stiles. I'll go with Scott" Deaton instructed. We all did as we were told. I have Allison a massive hug,to calm a both down.
"You okay?" She asked, pulling back from the embrace.
"You're about to die and you're asking if I'm okay?" I laughed sadly.
"Okay get ready" Deaton said as Lydia looked at stiles.Scott, stiles, and Allison stepped into the water. I could see Allison already shivering as she laid down and looked at me smiling sadly. I smiled back. I looked at Deaton who nodded to Lydia and I. I put my hands on allisons shoulders, pushing her under, making the water splash around my feet. She didn't struggle against my grip, just stayed still. I held her under until she stilled and floated to the surface.
I stepped away from the tubs shaking. It wasn't just because I was cold, scared, and shocked that I just killed my best friend but also because of the stinging sensation in my head.
I let out a small scream, collapsing to the ground. Isaac caught me before I could do any damage to myself. Suddenly, I could see the woods, a car, and a tree, they were all just images floating through my head. I tried pushing them away but to no avail.
"Clara! Don't fight it, let them in" Deaton yelled from the other side of the room. I took one for look at Isaac before I completely lost control, letting the images flood my mind.
It wasn't just pictures now, I was fully there, wherever there was. I was in a white room, and in front of me was a large tree trunk with cracks in the center of it. The nemeton?
I walked to the trunk, placing my hand on one of the cracks. Little glowing fire flies flew up from the cracks and flew around me. All I could see was a circle of light and once they disappeared I was no longer at the nemeton.
In fact, I didn't know where I was. There was a large metal gate behind me with writing in it, but for some reason I just couldn't read it. All of a sudden I saw people all around me. They were fighting things in black, with masks, and glowing yellow eyes. I took a step back from the fighting. There was one person, a werewolf taking a bunch of the the things in black. Who ever it was, wasn't winner. They were getting cut to shreds. I felt sadness and worry and like I wanted to scream and cry. Who was it?
I couldn't see any of the faces, nor could I hear their voices, just the noise of swords and growls. Something was sticking out of masking wearing demon and it burst into a ball of yellow light.
I turned around just in time to see demon stab one of the people fighting , in the stomach. I cried out, still unable to see the faces. I knew they were going to die. Someone else arrived at the scene and caught the person as they fell to the ground. They were saying something that I couldn't hear. The dark demons disappeared into the shadows as the persons heart stopped beating.
I woke up, screaming and gasping for air. I was still in Isaacs arms which would have been nice if I hadn't just seen the death of someone I know.
"What did you see?" Deaton asks once I calmed down.
"Someone dies. There was a sword and they wore masks. With Yellow eyes. They came out of the dark. I couldn't see anyone's faces but I felt how I would if it was really happening." I rambled to Deaton who had a seriously worried look on his face. "And the nemeton. I couldn't see where it was but I think that's where the demon things came from" I added as Isaac helped me stand."Do you have any idea who died? Or where it happened?" Deaton inquired with the same look on his face. "There was an iron gate. It had a name but I couldn't read. I couldn't see anything important, anything that might help me stop it" I cried. Like I literally started crying as I said it. I can't save my friends. I know it will happen but I can't stop it.
"Some things are not meant to be stopped. Maybe the vision was simply to warn you of what is to come" Deaton said sadly.
"But I can't stop it! I can't save them! I can't do anything but watch!" I yelled before running out of the animal clinic.I ran into the dark parking lot. And then I saw something that made me want to run back inside. The firefly. One from the nemeton, hovering right in front of me. It's light burning the same yellow as the demons eyes.
I felt to arms snake around my waist from behind. I didn't need to turn to know it was Isaac but I turned around anyway. He smiled at me and I smiled back.
"What were you looking at?" He whispered in my ear.
"The fire fly" I said in a 'duh' tone.
"There was nothing out here clara, no firefly" Isaac said cautiously. My face dropped and as I turned back to face the firefly, I saw nothing. But in the shadows, I could see two yellow eyes slowly fade into the darkness.
