Junipers Heart In The Beast World

Chapter Five

Waking up the next morning was definatly an experience. Jasper was still sleeping when the sun seeping through the mouth of cave woke me up... but little Jasper definatly wasn't.

I realized he had switched back to his human form and held me in the middle of night,not being sure if I should be mad scared or okay with his raging boner stabbing me in the ass, I ended up just staying still, like honestly I think I stopped breathing till he got up in the morning.

When he did wake he leaned down and kissed my forehead before standing sending my blushometer into the damn sky. He laughed this deep baritone chuckle sending my lady bits into a firy frenzy. He just smirked and walked away like he new something I didn't.

I got up and did my business in a literal sand pit. Like do I look like a cat to you? ....well I guess Jasper is. 'Snicker' hahaha it's an actual kitty litter box hahaha. As I was washing my hands with a bowl of water Jasper brought me and laughing at my own inner monologue Jasper was busy making breakfast.

I ate some razzleberries and Jasper ate some meat. He tried to make me eat some to but after I explained that eating heavy foods so early often makes me sick, he backed off.

He took me out to find some of that cone fruit he was talking about. Which I was very grateful for, I've got to say I was feeling pretty dirty. After searching for about an hour we finally found a bush of that red cone fruit growing along the river Bank.

Jasper then took me farther down stream were the current wasn't so strong from the waterfall. I asked Jasper to turn around as I was getting in, he just chuckled and turned around commenting on what a strange female I was.

As I was finishing up I noticed Jasper staring at me looking extremely concerned. I immediately sank back into the water crossing my arms over my middle to comfort myself. I wasn't upsett that he looked I was just scared he would abandon me now that he could see how damaged I was.

I jolted in fear as I felt fingers lightly caressing the deep scars along my back. I was trembling so afraid that he would think I was disgusting and leave me that his response took me aback.

"Oh little one who has harmed you so. Who would Mar such a beautiful creature." I stood there silent still to afraid to tell him. " I understand maybe when you have more mates you will feel safe enough to tell me." I sighed in relief knowing he was letting it go for now. He scooped me up out of the water like I literally weighed nothing.

When we reached the cave Jasper set me down on some furs an went to the back room. When he returned he was carrying to things in his hands one was a really pretty dress he had made from the white boar fur. The dress hung off one shoulder and came to about me knees. It also had some cute white leg raps to go over my boots I'm assuming to make them look less odd.

Thank you so much hun I said while slipping on the clothing. He smiled and handed me the pouch which was surprisingly heavy for being so small. I opened it and was Stunned to see about ten different colored crystals.

" What are these" " there crystals little one. They can be used as currency to by goods or you can eat them. Each one does something different.

The white ones are just to be used for currency you can't use them,the blue ones can help artic beasts or water beasts evolve. the green ones can help improve health and fatigue as well as extend one's life span. The yellow can help lightning and earth beasts evolve, the red can help fire beasts evolve, the black dark beasts, the purple sky beasts, and the rare gold crystal can heal all wounds and scars."

"I may not have one now but I vow to find you a gold crystal so you don't have to Carry your past on your skin like that." I sat there a little stunned taking in everything he said. I was so amazed that there was a crystal that could get rid of scars, but I didn't want to get back into that issue so I let it go.

" What do you mean by evolve?" "After a male hits three stars he has a chance to earn a special ability his stars will disappear and he will earn a mark pertaining to his ability."

Jasper pulled the front of his skirt down a little and showed me a little black diamond along the left side of his v. "I have the ability of shadow movement. I can practically dissappear when I want to." It finally clicked for me realizing I wasn't crazy when I thought he looked like he was blurring in shadow yesterday fighting that boar.

"That's so cool!" He smiled leaned down and grabbed one of the two green crystals from my lap. I didn't have a chance to ask what he was doing before he was touching the crystal to my chest right over my heart. To my amazement it evaporated in a bright light and I could feel it's warmth radiate through me.

"What was that for?" I asked in surprise. " I want my mate to live as long as possible and it can't hurt for you to be healthier." As he was speaking I felt myself becoming lighter and less painful. I looked down to realize I really was becoming lighter my tummy was shrinking and my legs didn't look nearly as flabby. Damn these crystals really were magic. "Wow I didn't think you could get any smaller little one but here we are. How do you feel?" I smiled a genuine smile at him. "Pretty good actually"

All right now that that's done let's go look for your edible greens. He scooped me up again (the man had a real problem with letting me walk on my own two feet) and we headed into the forest to forage.
