. : Sebastian of Villeneuve : .
It had been far too long since he had seen his wife.
Sebastian stared up at the tall walls of Villeneuve as they opened for him, letting him step inside. The soldiers at the gate nodded to him and he smiled back, heading through the city to the castle.
He had just returned from Havfrue, visiting his parents and sister for the Half Moon Festivals. His daughters had come with them but had returned to Villeneuve a week earlier to prepare for their return to the School for Good in the fall.
As he entered the castle, Nina-- the Captian of the Guard-- nodded to him. "Your Highness, good to see you have returned to well. If you are in search of her majesty and the princesses, they are in the office."
Sebastian smiled and thanked her. Nina had been Laura's personal guard since her coronation, and Sebastian had fond memories of the guard.
He turned and walked down the Hallway of Portraits, where at the end-- next to a picture of Laura at her coronation-- one of the four of them rested on the wall, newly finished. Both of his daughters had inherited the Villeneuve eyes.
Sebastian jogged up the staircase at the end of the hallway and turned the corner to Laura's office. He rapped his fingers on the doorframe before stepping inside.
His younger daughter-- Viola-- beamed at his entrance and rushed across to hug him, joined quickly by Camille. Sebastian squeezed them both tight, before looking across the room at Laura, who was sitting on the comfy leather couch near the fire. Her magic was comforting, like a cozy blanket.
She stood and moved across the room. Sebastian smiled, and grabbed her waist, kissing her. Both of their daughters gagged, shoving at them.
Laura laughed, and Sebastian's heart fluttered as she whispered. "Missed you."
"Missed you too," He kissed her again, and they moved to sit on the couch. On the table in front of them was a small stack of papers approving a new trade law.
"Dad," Viola cheered, curling into his lap. "Mom was telling us about the Crocodile King. Is it true you met him too?"
Sebastian grinned, running a hand through her curly red hair. "Yes. He's a big mean crocodile that eats little girls who don't eat all their vegetables."
Laura sighed, and Sebastian laughed. "Don't listen to him. The Crocodile King is a good ruler."
Camille sunk into the couch next to her mom. "Aunt Mel told us that you've been to Neverland. Is that true?"
Sebastian nodded. "Yes, it is. Do you want to hear about the leader of the Twilight Children when I was there?"
"Tell us about it!" Viola grinned. Camille was leaning in to hear the story.
Sebastian glanced at Laura, who gave him a small smile, her eyes bright.
"Once upon a time, there was a fire-wielding leader of the Twilight Children, and she had one rule,"
"Never cross the barrier."

Hello lovelies,
Here is the final update and the epilogue for The Twilight Children. It was a year long work of writing of approximately 85000 words, but it has been in development since I first read SGE around 7 years ago, and I hope you all enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Until next time
