Amari's POV
5 Hours Before The Outbreak
Thursday, August 19
8:36 amI woke up a bit better than usual, nightmare free. I stand up from my bed and let out a yawn, I walk over to my dresser and take out a pair of black joggers and a white wife-beater and a pair of white socks.
I walk into my bathroom and brush my teeth and my face. I strip from my clothes and start my shower. After 20 minutes of scrubbing and rinsing I step out and dry myself off. I walk back into my room and put on a bra and a pair of boxer briefs, I don't need them but they're extremely comfortable. I put on my tank top, then my joggers, and lastly my socks.
I make sure to dry off my hair and head downstairs. I make pepper, flake, and banes food and feed them. I then make my smoothie and a fruit salad. I eat my salad and drink my smoothie. After my dogs finish eating I let them out into the backyard and to do their business.
I make sure to pick up after them and let them back into the house, where they then go into the living room and lay down on their beds.
I head over to my gym and start my workout. After an hour passes by I head back over to the kitchen. I take a water bottle from the fridge and chug half of it, walking over to the living bottle in hand.
I plop down onto the sofa and turn on the tv. I flip through the channels and land on the news, once again.
"Stay in doors, I repeat stay in doors! May god have mer-" just then the footage cuts off as the screen shows nothing but static. I switch to a different channel and watch the show that began to play.
I've got no problem staying at home but the question is, why? I guess this whole disease thing is a lot more serious than I thought. I look toward my babies as flake chewed on one of her toys. Bane was asleep as pepper laid her head on top of him.
I pull out my phone and dial Frankie's number. I listen to it ring as it goes straight to voicemail. I scrunch up my face and try again, she doesn't have work right now it's 11 in the morning.
Once again it goes to voicemail. I begin to worry as I dial sherry's number next. Hers does the same as I stand from the couch. I dial it again as she finally answers on the fifth ring.
"Finally Sherry, I've been trying to get a hold of you for a while." I sigh out. "Sorry, the power went out in the shop. What did you need?" She asked.
"Nothing, I just wanted to check in is all. Kind of like you did last night." "Oh. Well I'm fine if that makes you feel better." She giggled.
I let out a chuckle of my own before getting serious. "Have you been able to get a hold of Frankie. She's not answering..." "No but I'll you know when I get the chance." I nod and let out a sigh. "Nah I got it, I'll visit the club to see if she's there." "Ok, love you."
"Love you too." And with that I hang up head up stairs. I put on a tight blue long sleeve shirt, black pants and a pair of my blue and black Jordans. I walk back downstairs and stop at the table near the door. I grab the house keys from the small bowl and put on my mask.
"I'll be back, be good." I walk out the door and lock it behind me.
I head over to the garage and get into my Jeep. I pull out the driveway and into the road.

2 Hours Before The Outbreak
1:26 pmI parallel park across the street from the building and wait for a few cars to pass by. I open my glove compartment and take my holstered combat knife. I put it in my pocket and turn off the engine. I step out the car and look both ways before crossing.
